The Wedding of the Century
First United Methodist Church
Three Rivers, MI
The Wedding of the Century
While the girls were getting ready at the church, ...
(Good thing April’s niece, Amy, stopped by to give us a hand.)
The Wedding of the Century
... The guys opted to check into the hotel and dress there (after visiting the hot tub, of course).
The Wedding of the Century
...But Keith lagged a little behind. Why you may ask?
The Wedding of the Century
A little too much the night before!!!!! (Right: wedding day in the hotel; below: at home after the rehearsal)
The Wedding of the Century
Keith wasn’t the only one who had a bit too much the night before. Cold feet, John?
The Wedding of the Century
Goin’ to the chapel and we’re gonna get married...
The Wedding of the Century
Rain’s cousin, Tammy (as wedding
hostess), helps John and Eric with their boutonnieres.
The Wedding of the Century
This is us...JohnandRain. Being a bit of a traditionalist, John didn’t want to see Rain before the wedding. Here, through a heavy wooden door, we share our only private moment before our ceremony.
The Wedding of the Century
However, Rain and Eric took a few minutes to chat before the ceremony. (Eric is not as much a traditionalist as his father.)
The Wedding of the Century
Hey, guys!!!! Do I HAVE to?
The Wedding of the Century
Something Borrowed...Rain’s mother, Mary, loans Rain her original wedding set.
The Wedding of the Century
Something old, something new
Something borrowed, something blue
And a lucky six pence for her shoe.
Old: Grandma’s handkerchiefNew: necklace and earringsBorrowed: Mom’s wedding setBlue: blue crystal charm on
keepsake garter and...
The Wedding of the Century
...Rain’s toss garter (as demonstrated here by April) was also blue!
The Wedding of the Century
Rain’s dress (by Jim Hjelm)
Rain picked this dress because it was light and airy and reminded her of the flower children of the 60s. (JohnandRain are very much the hippy couple!)
The Wedding of the Century
Rain and her “girls,” Brooke, Crystal, and April
The Wedding of the Century
Best friends and final instructions!
