Patricia Dale Adkins Workman of Kenova Patricia Dale Adkins Workman, 72, of Kenova, WV passed away on Monday May 15, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV. She was born December 4, 1944 in Detroit, MI a daughter of the late Otha and Ananell Ferguson Adkins. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who spent her life caring for her family. Dale attended Buffalo Valley Independent Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Ray Workman. Dale is survived by her beloved husband, Howard Ronald Workman; one son and daughter-in-law, Randall Scott (Lee Ann) Workman of Kenova and one daughter, Ronda Kay Wellman of Kenova; her cherished grand- children, Jacob (Lindsey) Wellman, Jonah Wellman, Chandler, Scottie, Faith and Grace Workman; three brothers, Emmett Adkins, Ray Adkins, and Charles Adkins and a host of other family and friends. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be con- ducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2017 at Maple Hill Cemetery with Brother Emmett Adkins officiating. He was born on July 31, 1937 at Taylorville, WV a son of the late Elliott Burke and Malinda Ferrell Burke. He was a former press operator for Robin Industries and was a United States Army Veteran. Dickie was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed restoring cars in his spare time. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta Maynard Burke; brothers, Billy Joe and Alex Burke, sis- ters, Gladys Burke and Juanita Ellis and sister-in-law, Erie Milum. Survivors include his son, Richard A. William Thomas Hale of Wayne William Thomas Hale, 75, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at home. Born December 23, 1941 at Wayne, William served our country honorably in the U.S. Army and retired from Turman Construction. Preceding him in death were his parents, Gladys Robertson Ball and George William (Elizabeth) Hale; four brothers, Andy Ray Hale, Charles Bernard Hale, Wallace Ball, and Ronnie Ball; two sisters, Brenda Lou Rickman, and Mary Ann Smith; and one son, Charles Edward Bing, Jr. He leaves behind his wife Sandra Jean Hale; eight children, Tamara (Glen) Stephens, Sonya (James) Wheeler, Charles Kitts II, Lora (Marc) Hale, Larry Propps, Rhonda (John) Rickman, William Hale, and Jennifer (Chris) Adkins; 20 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, George Raymond Hale and Randall Ball; two sisters, Betty Ruth Smith and Orpha Elizabeth Hanson; and nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to mention. Family vacations in Marco Island, Florida were centered around the water and noth- ing pleased him more than to take his children, grandchildren, and anyone who wanted to join on a fishing trip in the Gulf of Mexico. Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family. The family would like to express spe- cial thanks to his good friend, Susan O’Donnell for her wonderful care of Bill. Also mourning are Susan’s daughter Chelsea, grand- daughter Campbell and Bill’s dog and constant companion Daisy. Bill generously donated his body to science. Beatrice Marie Eagleston formerly of Ceredo Beatrice Marie Eagleston, 90, formerly of Ceredo, WV, went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2017. She was a resident of Lucasville, OH where she had made her home for several years. She was born in Johnson County, KY on May 13, 1927; a daughter of the late William Wesley Kretzer and Nannie (Cartmill) Kretzer. “Bea” was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mordecai “Mort” Eagleston; her siblings: Homer, Clarence, Bill, Josephine and Bob Kretzer. “Bea” attended Grace Missionary Baptist Church of Ceredo and was a member of Madison Missionary Baptist Church of Minford, Ohio. She was a member of Ceredo- Kenova High School Class of 1946 and was a pharmacy clerk and homemaker. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 19, 2017, at 1 p.m. with Mike Akers officiating at Ceredo- Kenova Funeral Home with visitation two hours prior. of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at home. She is survived by her daughter with whom she made her home, Cynthia (Vern) Blaine of Lucasville and her son, Mordecai (Kathleen) Eagleston II of Peebles, Ohio. She leaves behind three grandchildren, James Blaine (Kristen), Matthew Blaine and Michelle Eagleston; Three great-grandchildren, Noah and Owen Blaine and London Rose Blaine; her sister, Juanita Chafin, of Huntington.

Rose May Muncy of Kermit

Rose May Muncy 75, of Kermit, West Virginia passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at her home. She was born in Omar, West Virginia on May 2, 1942, to the late Agnes Smith.

Rose is survived by her hus-band, Floyd Muncy and her children, Floyd Muncy Jr. of Crum, West Virginia, Travis Muncy, Ronda Johnson and Sonja Hodge all of Kermit, West Virginia. She is also sur-vived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

It was her wishes to be cre-mated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangments are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky.

Ruth Allene “Peg” Puckett Ball,89, of Kenova, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at her residence. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday May 22, 2017 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born November 14, 1927 in Kenova a daughter of the late William and Tina Meredith Puckett. Peg was a retired schoolteacher from the Wayne County School System and she attended the Rt. 60 Freewill Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Survivors include her beloved husband Joe Donald Ball; two sons and daughters-in-law William Dennis Ball (Nora) of Huntington and Darrell Joe Ball (Sharon) of Kenova; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. major changes to entire towns, we may need to begin making even more major changes in our personal lives. Failure for us to begin doing so may end in us simply not being around much longer.

I love the people of my home and pray for the situations of so many to improve on a daily basis, but if lasting changes are to be made, it’s going to begin with each person deciding they’re tired of business as usual and being willing to begin major changes in their own personal lives.
