Dear Friends,
Jesus called his church to “go into all the world and preach the good news to all
creation.” (Mark 16:15) This great call and command from Christ gives focus and clarity to us
as a church as we seek to live out our mission to offer Christ, nurture one another, and serve all.
One of the great ministries of Auburn UMC is the Beyond the Walls mission opportunities. In
this ministry, Keith Foster and the mission team provides a pathway of service for every person
to offer Christ and serve all as the hands and feet of Christ to “all the world.” There are places
to serve locally by taking part in our Community Workdays. The Disaster Relief ministries
equip people to join an Early Response Team (ERT) and assist people in places of disaster
following hurricanes, tornados, or floods.
In our 8:00am worship service this Sunday, we will commission a team traveling to Nicaragua.
In the months ahead, teams will travel and serve in places like:
Panama: May 7–14, May 27–June 3, June 10–17
Costa Rica: June 4–11
Haiti: Spring Break and Christmas
North Dakota: June 24–30
Bolivia: July 24–August 3
Along with these mission experiences, SIFAT (Servants in Faith and Technology) offers two
mission camps through our church. On March 31–April 2, the Around the World Weekend
provides hands-on activities and missional training for families and people of all ages.
June 25–30 SIFAT offers a week long Learn and Serve camp for 7th–12th graders to gain a
holistic view of the developing world.
There are so many ways to “go into all the world” through Auburn UMC. If you have any
questions or want to get involved in what God is doing through Auburn UMC, please come to
the Mathison Lobby this Sunday at 12:15pm and meet Keith Foster and the mission team in the
conference room. You can also contact Keith at 334-319-6024 or email your questions to
God bless you,

AUMC Youth Ministry, just returned from their annual Winter Retreat. In attendance were 405 students and 99 adult and college leaders at Shocco Springs
in Talladega, Alabama. During the weekend they learned about, experienced, and celebrated the gospel message through powerful worship and music, relevant
and challenging messages, nurturing family groups, deep fellowship, and even crazy football! God’s Spirit was evident as many made life changing
commitments. AUMC Youth Ministry would like to thank all of our prayer warriors and the amazing volunteer leaders that allow us to share the love and
grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
