Katie Boothroyd (Director, Costumes, Scenic) Bio not provided.

Rachel Boothroyd (Assistant Stage Manager) Bio not provided.

Riley Brannian (Darlene), 18, is thrilled to be a part of this wonderful cast! She has previously been on the stage in Crescendo's production of Dido and Aeneas as Queen Dido, City Circle's Bye Bye Birdie as Suzi, A Christmas Carol as Marigold, along with several other productions - including La Boheme, Carmen, and Tosca from Cedar Rapids Opera and is a founding member of the "Sisters of Song". She has been participating in community theater for 13 years, and has no intention of stopping anytime soon! In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, singing, and ancient history.

Brandon Burkhardt (Ballplayer) is excited to be performing with ICCT again, having previously performed as Kurt in The Sound of Music and Prince Chulalongkorn in The King and I. Brandon is a sophomore at West High School, where he is a member of the Good Time Company show choir and performed in the musical Cinderella last spring. Brandon has also sung leading roles in Chicago, Wisconsin, England, Scotland, and Coralville in productions of Amahl and the Night Visitors (Amahl), a new musical adaptation of Jane Austen's Persuasion (Young Charles), Alice in Wonderland (Cheshire Cat), Hansel and Gretel, and Carmen.

Mazie Clark (Children’s Chorus) is in 2nd grade at Kirkwood Elementary School. This is her debut performance with ICCT. She was last seen on stage in Dreamwell Theatre's Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom in a cameo role as a deceased ballerina. Mazie's favorite thing to do at school is to learn new things; her favorite thing to do at home is to play clay with her siblings.

Patricia Dawn Clark (Meg Boyd) has been involved with community theater for the past 22 years, in the various states she has lived. Some of her favorite shows have included Guys & Dolls (Sarah Brown), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator), Into the Woods (Witch), Blithe Spirit (Ruth Condomine), The Arkansaw Bear (Mime), and Wonderful Town (Violet). When she is not on stage, Dawn is spending time with her husband and four children and making life beautiful. "You've gotta have heart."

Christian Drollinger (Assistant Music Director, Pianist) is pleased to find himself back at it along with a fantastic cast and crew. This is his second time assisting with musical direction (Cabaret) and he’s happy with how hard everyone has worked! “I hope you enjoy the show!”

Sean Giese (Stage Manager) Bio not provided.

MEET THE CAST & CREW

Wes Habley (Music Director) Another Op'nin’, Another Show. Wes is delighted to be working with this talented cast and an incredible orchestra on a show that combines his two most favorite hobbies: musical theatre and baseball. Since retiring from ACT, Wes has played in pit orchestras or served as musical director for more than 25 shows for ICCT and City Circle. His thanks go to Katie and to Christian for their wonderful work. But, most of all, he is thankful to his Katherine, the unselfish light of his life with whom he will celebrate 39 years of marriage on opening night of this show.

Sydney Hayes (Lola) is thrilled to be back in Iowa to open ICCT's 60th season with Damn Yankees! She graduated in 2014 from the UI with a BA in Theatre and currently resides in New York City where she most recently appeared in If You Want to See the Devil at the Dixon Place. Other Iowa credits include Patience, Die Fledermaus, a new musical Makeover, Cabaret, Spamalot, Urinetown, A Christmas Carol, HMS Pinafore, and White Christmas. She thanks Katie Boothroyd for giving her this opportunity, the Lynn family for housing her, and all her well-missed friends and family for their never-ending support.

Alicia Heath (Ensemble) Damn Yankees is Ali's 4th show with ICCT and it has also been 10 years since she did this show when she was a sophomore in high school! Some of her other favorite theatre roles include Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors), Amy (Little Women), Mary (Camo! The Musical), Abacus (The Emperors New Clothes or Five Beans for Jack). She is also a proud Alumni from University of Iowa REACH program and works full time at Kids Inc Day Care in Coralville. She is so blessed to be part of such a wonderful cast, and love and thanks to her mom and dad, family and friends!

Alyssa Hitchcock (Lighting Designer) Bio not provided.

Jaecob Lynn (Joe Hardy, Scenic Lead) is making his ICCT debut with Damn Yankees and is excited to have such a great role to work on. Jaecob is a vocal student who hopes to move to NYC and pursue his dream. He thanks all of the cast and crew for putting up with him. “Hope you enjoy the performance and don't sell your soul!”

Mickey Motyko (Ballplayer) After a 22-year hiatus, Mickey has returned to his roots in theatre, playing Hugo in Bye-Bye Birdie last year. Some of the new loves of his life include his 635h.p. Camaro that he races on any given Sunday at Cordova Raceway. Mickey also loves his canvas and paint brushes, having discovered a knack for fine painting and art history. Mickey is dedicated to his many charges: chickens, cats, and honey bees…. That’s a lot of mouths to feed!

MEET THE CAST & CREW

Elise Mozena (Miss Weston, Costumes Lead) After traveling across Europe and America over the past three years, Elise is excited to return to her hometown and perform in her first musical in nine years. Her love of the theatre has only grown since last performing for ICCT as Margie Frake in State Fair back in 2006. Since then, she has performed in various student-run productions at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, and spearheaded the first English-language Drama Club at Auguste-Viktoria-Schule in Flensburg, Germany, in 2013. Special thanks to her supportive family, friends near and far, and the wonderful cast and crew.

Joe Mozena (Ballplayer) Bio not provided.

Davis Nepple (Children’s Chorus) is eight years old and a student at Weber Elementary. Davis has previously been seen in Brigadoon, Rapunzel and Pinocchio. He enjoys reading, exploring outdoors and working on his banjo skills.

Larry Newman (Benny Van Buren) is very excited about being part of Damn Yankees. Previous ICCT shows include Man of La Mancha and The Fantasticks. Although it may appear otherwise, he knows nothing about baseball, or sports in general, so this show is actually a good education tool for him. Go Hawks!

Roger Phelps (Mr. Welch) has been an undertaker in City Circle’s 2012 Christmas Carol and a grocery delivery guy at Dreamwell Theatre. Later, his multiple personalities allowed him to play THREE characters: a man who was not appearing in the play, a taunting Frenchman, and a wizard named Tim in City Circle's Spamalot. You may have last seen him playing the role of Jeff Douglas in Brigadoon at ICCT. Roger is now the owner of the Washington Senators! “I love this role and all the others as well, but what I love most is the people you meet and the talent they share. Thank you all for making our community theatre a wonderful experience!”

Payton Proud (Choreographer) This is Payton's first time choreographing for ICCT, and it has been a wonderful experience. She would like to thank Katie, Wes, and the entire cast for putting together a great show. Enjoy!

Monica Rowland (Ensemble) is currently a Kirkwood student, and works part time in a skilled care facility as a CNA. She would like to thank Riley Brannian for encouraging her to try out, as well as her family and voice teacher, Nancy Macfarlane. Enjoy the show!

MEET THE CAST & CREW

Nick Rudzianski (Ballplayer) works as a Research Associate for the College of Public Health, and spends his free time bowling, playing board games with friends, and practicing for this show by playing softball. This is Nick's first show in the Iowa City area, and first since high school many years ago. With any luck, it will not be his last.

Kristina Rutkowski (Doris) has been doing shows here and there in the area, most recently performing in ICCT's Romance, Romance. She is excited to be working with ICCT again with such a wonderful cast and crew. She thanks her family for their love and support and especially for their patience when she missed many baseball games to do a show about baseball.

Josh Sazon (Mr. Applegate) has worked in a number of shows in the area, both onstage and off.

Tom Schulein (Joe Boyd) is a retired Associate Professor of Dentistry at The University of Iowa. He's had roles in Oklahoma! (Andrew Carnes), Brigadoon (Andrew MacLeran) and Camo! The Musical (Ensemble) with the ICCT and Bye, Bye Birdie (Quartet) with the Coralville Center. When not doing musical theatre, he researches and lectures on Iowa City history, works on antique farm tractors and avidly sings in barbershop quartets and choruses. Thank you Katie, Wes and cast!!

Glen Schmitz (Husband, Commissioner, Lynch) is once again thrilled to be working with Iowa City Community Theatre. He was last seen on stage for Brigadoon and he goes back to visit often. A special thanks to his family for their love and support. Play ball!

Amy Timperley (Sister Miller) is thrilled to appear in her first Iowa City Community Theatre production. After a 14-year hiatus, she recently returned to the stage in A Chorus Line at Theatre Cedar Rapids. Amy would like to thank her husband, Derek, for his constant support and the cast, Katie, Wes, and Christian for a great experience!

Liz Tjaden (Gloria Thorpe) This is Liz's debut production with ICCT! She's had a great time playing the role of Gloria and getting back on the stage. Liz has also performed in many operas and musicals, including Die Fledermaus, Carousel, State Fair, Fiddler on the Roof, and West Side Story. In her free time, Liz enjoys pretending to be a runner, spending time with her dog, Lilly, and exploring the Iowa City area.

Austin Wicke (Ballplayer) This is Austin’s first show with ICCT and he would like to thank his friends and family, especially his mummy, for their support. He would also like to thank the directors and cast for all their hard work!

Auditions for Theophilus North Auditions will be held Oct. 10th & 11th from 1-3pm at the ICPL. Please check the ICCT website and Facebook page for audition updates and information! Nominated for the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding New Play, this charming piece is based on Thornton Wilder’s 1973 novel of the same title, and it features its titular character on his journey of self-discovery in 1920s Providence, Rhode Island. He must navigate this seaside New England town and its cast of upper-crust characters (like the sweet and precocious Eloise Fenwick and the diplomat-turned-shut-in Dr. James Bosworth), and along the way he learns as much about himself as he does about them. Directed by Kehry Anson Lane.

Ushers are needed for Psycho Beach Party Oct. 23-25 & Oct. 30th-Nov. 1st, 2015 Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30pm and Sunday performances begin at 2:00pm at the Johnson County Fairgrounds Exhibition Hall. Ushering volunteers arrive one hour early to prepare for the audience. Tasks include taking tickets, passing out programs and selling refreshments. Clean-up afterwards is appreciated. Nice/comfortable dress is requested. In exchange for an usher’s assistance, the ticket fee for the performance is waived.

“From the moment we enter the space, we are transported...

A Powerful rendition of a story that never goes out of fashion.” Man of La Mancha — Iowa

Theatre Blog, Genevieve Heinrich

“Where to begin when talking about a production this good? ... Everyone. Every person, everybody. Used in a sentence:

Everyone should go see this show.” Spelling Bee - Iowa

Theatre Blog, David Pierce

“They hit all the jokes with the right comic timing, and the choreography is carried out with snappy precision. It's always a delight to see musical theatre performed with such care and confidence, particularly when the piece itself is so engaging.” The Fantasticks - Iowa Theatre Blog, James E. Trainor III

“My entire family was delighted and engaged by the show, from the hyper five-year-old to the sardonic 12-year-old.” Annie - Iowa Theatre Blog, Sharon Falduto

“...this is a great ensemble, and they navigate this jagged

journey of a script with skill and intensity.” 12 Angry

Men - Iowa Theatre Blog, James Trainor III

“ICCT restored my faith in this classic play.” Bus Stop - Iowa

Theatre Blog, Matthew Falduto

“Of all local community theatre productions I’ve been to in the last few years, this production ranks as one my absolute favorites.” Drowsy Chaperone - Iowa Theatre Blog, Andrew Juhl

“I was lucky enough to have a 9-year-old along with me for the review, and she — a little girl who can barely sit through an episode of over-stimulating Disney Channel tripe before getting bored - sat motionless and riveted throughout the entire final act. Well done, Agatha and ICCT.” And Then There Were None - Iowa Theatre Blog, Andrew Juhl

“If you’re the sort of person who loves musicals you absolutely won’t be disappointed by this one. If you’re the sort who thinks they’re corny, I’d advise you to see this one anyway—you may just be surprised by how enjoyable it is.” Oklahoma! - Iowa Theatre Blog, Sharon Falduto

“This is a good show. Top to bottom.” Last of the

Red Hot Lovers - Iowa Theatre Blog, Brad Quinn

“If you’ve never had the privilege to see this play, you should check it out. It’s a wonderful script, and ICCT’s produc-tion features some great acting.” Cat on a Hot Tin Roof - Iowa Theatre Blog, James Trainor

“The music is gorgeous, complicated, and lively…[it] alone makes the show worth seeing.” Brigadoon - The Daily Iowan, Justus Flair

“The dances were so mind-blowing that I wished

I could DVR them back and play them over to take in every detail.” Wonderful Town - Iowa Theatre Blog, Meghan D’Souza

“In a nutshell, the plots are captivating, the actors are highly talented, the music is fun… I walked in grouchy and left entertained.” Romance/Romance - Iowa Theatre Blog, Meghan D’Souza
