UoN is considered the top university in Kenya- According to Webometrics System of Ranking 2014. Even though post graduate admission isn’t as competitive as the undergraduate admission, getting in is no mean achievement.

UoN offers its admission letters online so you can easily download them on the website, fill in the required details and send them in at the campus together with the requirements. #3 You must be qualified

UoN has very clear guidelines on who qualifies to join their Masters degrees. If you do not fulfill the required minimums, be guaranteed that you won’t get in. It’s also important to note than the university considers degrees from only specific universities that are recognized by the Senate. So if you have studied at an institution that is not properly accredited, don’t be surprised if your undergraduate degree is not recognized by the University of Nairobi senate.

#4 The admission deadline may be extended

In case you take the forms and you are a few days late, you might still stand a chance of having your admissions accepted at the university. The institution usually sets a deadline for receiving admissions, but extends it in order to cater for students who may not have submitted their documents. However, try as much as possible to submit your admissions on time because the deadline may or may not be extended.

#5 Admission fees are non-refundable

In order for the forms to be accepted by the university, you must pay a stipulated fee. Application forms for Masters programs are usually charged Ksh.3000 but this figure may change so it’s best to confirm with the institution.

In case your admissions are not processed or you don’t qualify for the programme you had applied, the application fee will not be refunded.

You can only begin the admission process once you receive a letter of admission from the university. This letter is usually sent a month or a few weeks prior to the beginning of your first semester.

Simply visit the University of Nairobi Online Portal and log in using your reference number and password (initial one is usually set as your national ID number). After logging in, you can access your account and receive the registration number.
