y Mr Kishore Biyani, is the founder and Ceo of the Future
Group, the man who replaced conventional wisdom with
"guts and instincts" to create Future Group, a $1 billion
company that includes Pantaloon Retail, a departmentstore group;
Big Bazaar, the company's name for
hypermarkets, Food Bazaar supermarkets, and Central
Mall. Known for his insights into Indian consumer
behavior, About 25 percent of the retail space in thecountry is
occupied By him today.

y Mr Kishore Biyani was born in August 1961 in a middle
classMarwadi family in Rajasthan. His father Mr Jugal Biyaniwas a
small scale textile trader.
y He completed his commerce graduation from Mumbai, andhis post
graduation in marketing in 1983. At the age of 26he got married to
Sangita and at present has two daughters.
y He started off by opening a small factory in Tarapur
whichmanufactured garments.

y Between 1988-92 he got BARE jeans and John
Miller in the Indian market
y In 1997 he launched his first retail storePantaloons India pvt

This was followed in 2001 with the launch of BigBazaar, a
uniquelyIndian hypermarket format thatdemocratized shopping in
India.
