Sooner or later we all sleep alone

This is all the little orphan girl

can recall her mother speaking to her.

That poor baby that we will now call

Rachella, was given up to the forest by

her mother. Growing up a child of

nature Rachella explored and found a

branch from a hazel bush and planted

it. She wept so much that the tears fell

down upon it. In front of Rachellas

very eyes a woman began to grow from

the ground.

I am Loorena, I see you crying,

what is wrong my child?

I am alone. My mother has

abandoned me and I know nothing of

human contact.

I understand child, youre heart

is not made of stone. Beneath the

moon loves wings have broken all too

soon, we never learn, hurt together or

hurt alone. In a days time you will

meet another one like you, befriend

her.

And with that Loorena was gone.

Rachella was confused and excited;

she made her way to her favorite spot

in the forest. She asked the river for a

sign, she waited and waited. Dusk

came and Rachella was about to go to

her hammock to sleep, when she saw a

beautiful young girl, about her age.

We look nothing alike, how could she

be anything like me? thought

Rachella. She had long blonde locks,

rose- red lips. Both Rachella and the

young maiden walked up to each

other. Rachella spoke first,

How long is love supposed to

shine, could you and I hurt together?

He stomped on my heart, tore

me apart, but you seem simply the

best. spoke the maiden.

My story is simple, firstly my name is

Cinderella. Once upon time I was

falling in love but now I am only

falling apart. I grew up in Sugarland,

Texas. There I was a farm hand, I

milked the cows, tended to the

chickens, and worked day and night to

keep the farm going, when I was

sixteen my father got an offer he

couldnt refuse. Mr. Bush wanted my

hand in marriage. He was the Prince

of Oil, and father knew I would be

taken care of. I was married only a

month later to George. It wasnt long

until I noticed his dirty little habits, he

drank and smoked cocaine. I tried to

ignore it, but whenever he wasnt

sober he would try to brainwash me

into believing Texas should be its own

country. He gave me these glass shoes,

which later I found out held a tracking

device on the bottom, in case I decided

to run. George put me out into the

oilrigs and expected me to drill from

the early morning to late into the

nights. I would come home and he

would expect dinner to be made and

for me to perform my womanly

duties. He had this horrid fantasy of

him being the president during sex, he

always called me Dicknever did find

out what that meant. Any way a year

into our marriage I became very

depressed. I knew I had to leave; this

relationship was a different kind of

love song. I guess George knew I grew

tired of this marriage; so one howling

night he glued the glass shoes to my

feet. In his pea sized brain I think he

actually thought this would stop me.

But that morning, before dawn, I ran.

I ran for what seemed like years and

eventually had to stop, due to the

shoes cutting my feet so badly. I had

to get them off because I knew he was

tracking me and would be upon my

resting spot soon. I tried pulling them,

and soaking them in the lake but

nothing worked. I was so exhausted

from all my efforts that I started

singing to try to calm myself down, I

can barely recall what happened next

but I must have dozed off. When I

awoke I felt and saw about four

humming birds pecking at the shoes.

They moved so fast and gently, with

their beaks penetrating the glass, and

then, they broke and I was free. All I

kept thinking as I walked through the

woods, was what does love have to do

with it? Who even wants a heart when

it can only be broken? And that is

when I stumbled upon you.

I have never known such an

interesting girl. replied Rachella

I dont know if I am interesting,

just more unlucky. said Cinderella

Thats not you at all! argued

Rachella

Tell me lies, tell me sweet little

lies. whispered Cinderella

And with that short conversation

both girls started hearing Styx in their

heads,

After their musical interruption

both maidens fell fast asleep against

the soft grass of the meadow. Lying

under the sky filled with millions of

twinkling stars they both knew that

they couldnt go back to being alone.

Throughout the months both

girls became very close. They tended

to their garden together, and played

with the animals. One day a stranger

was walking through the woods.

Cinderella was bathing at the waterfall

when he caught a glimpse of her, he

stopped and watched her for a while

and thought, Where does my heart

beat now? While he was pondering he

started to lean forward so he could get

a better glimpse, but the landing was

unsteady and he tumbled down into

the water. Frightened, Cinderella

jumped out and hid behind the old

willow tree.

Who are you!? she cried

I am so sorry miss. I am Prince

Harry, I hail from the kingdom just

over those mountains. I couldnt help

but fall captive to your beauty.

Prince Harry stood up; was fair

skin, ginger and his chiseled features

prominent. Cinderella just stared; she

had never seen such a specimen of a

man before. Prince Harry walked over

to her and whispered, Every step you

take, every claim you make, Ill be

watching you. Cinderella blushed and

then ran off, back to Rachella.

Rachella! Rachella! There was a

man, watching me, a prince!

What? Cindy, what do you

mean?

I was bathing near the waterfall and

he was watching me. He fell in,

clumsy fool, and then told me how I

captured him with my beauty.

Ha, oh lordy, you and your

men. I thought you were finished with

love?

I was, I am, thats not the point,

I just thought him endearing.

You find everyman endearing,

you just keep me hanging on!

What are you talking about

Rach?

Nothing, youre my best friend,

but clearly you could care less, just

leave me alone!

Why are you getting so upset?

GO! screamed Rachella

Cinderella decided to take a walk

through the rose gardens.

Why is she acting like this?

thought Cindy. She is my best friend;

she means the world to me

Oh, hello, Prince Harry.

And what are you doing out

here, roaming alone, a rose could

prick you.

I just got into this horrible fight

with my best friend.

It really was about nothing,

once I really think about it. Rachella

just seemed to get a little jealous when

I brought you up, thats all.

jealous. You are beautiful and fair,

while Rachella is, appalling to look at.

You will make a wonderful wife and

bear many children. You are a prize to

be won.

And with that Prince Harry

leaned in and tried to kiss Cinderella!

Their lips joined together in what only

can be assumed as bliss, on Prince

Harrys part, but that of disgust on

Cinderellas.

the Prince

I think I just threw up in my

mouth a little replied Cinderella

Oh my dear, you will love being

my wife and taking care of me!

Harry, I never agreed to marry

you; I wasnt even ready to kiss you!

Well I really dont see why you

wouldnt want to be Mrs Prince

Charming!

Honestly, you make my skin

crawl. I have bigger dreams then being

a mans wife. I have my own life to

live!

And with that statement

Cinderella turned and walked away.

Rachella! Rachella!!!

Cinderella ran back to their

home in the forest. Rachella was just

standing there, looking perfect.

Cindy? Why are you out of

breath?

I was running, running to find

you! Harry kissed me!

Why would you feel the need to

tell me that! argued Rachella

Just listen. We kissed, and it

was horrible. He is a ginger badger...a

typical man. And that is when the

lightning struck me! Its you, it has

always been you! You were the one

that found me; you took me in and

befriended me! I am in love with you

Rachella! Utterly head over heels, out

of the ball park in love with you!

And with that Rachella grabbed

the back of Cinderellas head and

kissed her.

Though this is not a traditional

love story, the two are happy. Rachella

became a world renown plastic

surgeon while Cinderella became the

Vice President of NOW (National

Organization of Women) and spent

the rest of their lives in the forest.
