JOSH WESTON A bold philanthropist, Honorary Chairman of the Board and Former Chief Executive Officer of Automatic Data Processing (ADP), Josh Weston has made a lasting impact on the corpo-rate and philanthropic sectors with his proven managerial and leadership skills. Mr. Weston began his career at ADP, one of the largest information services companies in the world, in 1955. He

became the Chief Executive Officer in 1982 and held the position until 1996. In 2012, Josh and Judy Weston established the Weston Research Scholars Pro-gram at Brooklyn Tech. Students participating in this program are paired with a Brooklyn Tech mentor/teacher as well as a college professor, scientist or engineer in order to conduct original research. Weston told The Wall Street Journal in 2011 that he was an “out-of-the-box marketing thinker most of the time” and his philosophy has been an inspiration to entrepreneurs as well as philanthropic groups. Mr. Weston is a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School’s Class of 1946.

MARK TATUM Mark Tatum is Deputy Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and has been instrumental in the game’s global growth. An influential leader, he manages the NBA’s business operations and has spearheaded its international endeavors. He also oversees the NBA’s Marketing and Communications depart-

ments and manages the NBA Development League. Mr. Tatum began his career with the NBA in 1999 and steadily developed a track record of success within the organization. Mr. Tatum received a bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing from Cornell University and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. Sports-Business Journal named Tatum one of the 50 Most Influential People in Sports Busi-ness in 2014 and 2015. Mr. Tatum is a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School’s Class of 1987.

JOHN ARMSTRONG CAVANAGH (1935- 2012) John Cavanagh spent his childhood in Brooklyn and Queens and his career in the construction trade, and was one of many people who “built” the Manhattan skyline. Mr. Cavanagh started his career as an employee and protégé of Carl Morse, and was President and Chief

Operating Officer of Morse Diesel International Inc., and later Vice Chairman of AMEC Construction Management, Inc. He worked on the Pan Am Building, 77 Water St., Rockefeller University’s New Research Laboratory, USAir Terminal at La-Guardia Airport, Terminal One and Four at JFK Airport, the Rose Center for Earth and Space at the American Museum of Natural History, New York Stock Exchange and countless more. The Brooklyn Tech Alumni Community will pay tribute to John Cavanagh and his contribution to New York City. Mr. Cavanagh was a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School’s Class of 1954.
