    It is the mission of the Tisdale Institution & Rehabilitation Center to protect

    society by confining offenders in the controlled environments of prisons and

    community-based facilities that are safe, humane, cost-efficient, and

    appropriately secure, and that provide work and other self-improvement

    opportunities to assist offenders in becoming law-abiding citizens.

    The prison will have 5 floors with approximately 75inmates on one floor sharing. The inmates will sleep inbunk beds quartered in pod-style living quarters.

    The first floor is reserved for correctional staff watchingmonitors for behaviors and/or accidents inside andoutside of the institution.

    The cafeteria is also included on the first f loor.

    Barbed-wired fence surrounds the property to deterescaping as there are correctional officers posted ineach corner of the property.

    The Tisdale Institution and Rehab Center strongly believesin assisting women offenders reintegrate into thecommunity. For this purpose, the facility currently holds apopulation of 300 inmates, or 380 at maximum capacity.

    We currently employ 150 correctional officers, with a ratioof 1 correctional staff for every 6 inmates; additionally, 5clinical staff, per rehab house conduct classes, medications,and meetings such as Alcoholic/Narcotic management,

    mental health checks, and OBGYN clinics.

    No inmate or visitor shall bring any weapons, or

    contraband into the facility.

    No inmate shall kick, throw, inject, or spit at any other

    inmate, visitor, or staff. Visits of family are prohibited the first 180 days of

    imprisonment/treatment of inmates to ensure proper

    treatment of inmate is being received. If after the 180

    days, without infractions, an inmate may receive visitors. All inmates and families are subjected to search of persons

    and belongings upon entry of the facility.

    All inmates are to obtain and retain wrist device on at alltimes, as it is our way of keeping track of you. If you takeoff the device, you will be subjected to the disciplinary

    review board for a possible lengthier sentence.

    Inmates are to engage in employment immediately afterdetoxification, and shall not engage in any criminal activity.Failure to abide by the rule, inmate shall be subjected to thedisciplinary board for remedial action.

    In addition to employment on the outside, all inmates are towork for their stay while at the facility. Some may clean, dolaundry, yard work, or engage in services needed by thestate of Ohio.

    All infractions committed by inmates will be subjectedto disciplinary action set forth by the TisdaleInstitution and Rehab Center Review Board. All boardmembers shall remain impartial to the inmate, andfollow a strict adherence to the guidelines.

    Inmates shall at no point be given good credit forcalmingdown once the lengthy time has been givento the Rehab Center. Before release, at least 2 medicaldoctors shall concur on the release back to theinstitution to finish the sentence mandated by thecourt(s).

    All inmates shall enter into Rehab 1 upon entrance into

    the Tisdale Institution and Rehab Center. All inmates are

    expected to follow rules, and participate in their

    rehabilitation efforts.

    A church is provided on campus for those wishing to

    participate in spiritual services. Participation in holiday

    activities are not required, and individual religion is

    respected.

    Lucynthia Tisdale has made a commitment 15 years ago toserve the disadvantageous community in which she resides,and she has. For instance, not only is she working withdomestic violence women at the YMCA, but an advocate atthe Juvenile Justice Center in Toledo, Ohio as well. Inaddition, she assists the Toledo Bar Association with criminal

    expungments for ex-offender to become self-sufficient andgainfully employed. Her mission is to allow people to findtheir purpose while she implements strict, but meaningfuldirection. In addition to earning two Paralegal degrees, Ms.Tisdale enjoys spending time with her two teenagers,Modesty and Clifford, as well as her fianc, Robert Jones.
