The Tibetan Collection for Kravet Carpet introduces new custom designs inspired by natural surfaces, patinas and aerial views. A chrome-based herbal dye is used to manipulate how the yarn accepts color, which allows higher levels of gradation in the Tibetan wool. From the weathered surface of “Splashback” and the phantom damask of “Soft Whisper” to the natural patinas of “Glaze,” “Ravine” and “Water Ripple,” all are woven using traditional techniques with Tibetan wool at 100 knots per square inch in Nepal.
