Liz Dunoon is a teacher and a mother to 3 children all with dyslexia. It was through her research that she discovered how people with dyslexia can be successful in our schools, yet this information is not readily available to parents or to teachers here in Australia. This same research indicates that even though 10% of people in English speaking countries may have dyslexia, a majority of parents and teachers, don’t know what dyslexia is, how to identify it, or how to effectively teach children with it. Touch Type Read Spell TTRS TTRS is an educational program that helps students to spell, read, memorise, type, and to be confident. Used extensively throughout Europe, our 3 children have also been using this program for 6 months. It is based on Alpha to Omega and uses all the senses to teach literacy skills.
