NEW FOSSIL HOMO DISCOVERY.by Rex Gilroy

Evidence of pre-Aboriginal hominin activity in the Cental West of New South Wales has been increasingthroughout 2009, through the Gilroys field investigations, first with the Coonabarabran and then Barrabafossil skull and endocast finds.

The Coonabarabran and Barraba discoveries were of Homo erectus skull-types of both archaic andlate forms, pointing to extensive Homo erectus activity throughout the central west over the last 1 millionyears to around 300,000 years BP [Before present].

Now another skull-type find, this time from outside Orange, reveals evidence of Pre-Australoidhominin occupation in late Pleistocene times.

On Wednesday 7th October Heather, myself and our visiting Brisbane Queensland assistant, GeoffHolland, were on a visit to Orange, when we explored a bushland area. Here limestone deposits led Geoffand I to locate a small cave, a dry system.

Chancing to look down at the cave entrance floor, I saw a lump of limestone projecting from theground which looked like a human skull dome. Upon close examination I realised that it was the cranialfragment of a long, narrow braincase endocast [ie doliocephalic], with a low sloping forehead, a somewhatlate archaic Homo erectus form, which from the known rate of limestone skull mineralisation could not bemore than around 300,000 years BP. This skull was from a form of archaic Homo erectus which had diedout in Java by around 1 million years BP, but which appears to have lingered on in Australia into much latertimes, alongside his offshoot, late Homo erectus, identifiable by his pronounced forehead.

The Orange skull endocast fragment favourably resembles the 800,000 BP limestone skull of anarchaic Homo erectus, recovered by me outside Mudgee in 1997.

It could be that both the Mudgee and Orange archaics evolved from an earlier erectine form whichpopulated a wide area of the central west some time prior to 1 million years BP. However, more evidence is

needed, such as skull-type finds from other areas between the Orange-Mudgee districts, before a clearerpicture can be formed in this matter.

The occupants of the Orange cave mouth shelter lived at a time when the district was much morelush than it is today, with Ice-Age forests and swamplands attracting game aplenty. Fresh water flowed in anearby creek. A single Eolithic chopping tool found some distance from the cave site shows daily huntingexpeditions would have left the campsite to seek out marsupial and other food in the surrounding forests.

Heather and I shall return to this new site in the near future, this time to carry out measurements ofthe former campsite. It is not unlikely that further discoveries will be made here.

GIANTTOOTH OF THEABERCROMBIE GIANT.by Rex Gilroy.

    Copyright Rex Gilroy 2009.

Old Aboriginal traditions of giant beings called Jogungs, huge, fearsome men who used massive stone clubsand other megatools, and which roamed the Burragorang and Wollondilly/Abercrombie River country inthe long-age Dreaming have been long vindicated by the Gilroys fossil and stone tool discoveries. Nowanother fossil find adds further weight to these timeless traditions, in the form of a large, incomplete molar

tooth, a quartz-mineralised specimen with a crystallised decayed centre. The find was made on Saturday 10th October 2009, during a drive from Oberon to Goulburn by

heather and I, together with Geoff Holland. The main purpose was to take photos of the western side of thegreater Blue Mountains National Park south as far as the end of the mountain ranges just north of Goulburn, for use in the Gilroys next book on the Yowie, which I recently completed.

At one point that afternoon we pulled into a campground on the Abercrombie River so I could takephotos of the bushland-lined river for use in the book. I had to negotiate a slope down onto a flat then workmy way through trees to reach the waters edge.

Having taken the photos I returned to the car, but as I left the riverside trees, I spotted a curious-looking quartz pebble which told me to pick it up, so I did!

Upon close examination I realised that my pebble was a large mineralised [quartz] lower back

hominin molar tooth. The centre had decayed and become crystallised. Also slivers of tooth has flaked off thesides here and there and the root system had broken away, yet enough remained to tell me that complete it

would have been far too large to have belonged to any normal height human. The crown measures 3.7cm by 3cm in diameter, by 3.3cm in remaining length. The tooth had to have

belonged to an individual of strong, muscular build standing at least 3.66 metres in height, and therefore agiant form of Homo erectus.

As our new Yowie book will demonstrate, the Yowie, or Hairy Man has a long history in theAbercrombie district. Here is fossil evidence of a giant Rexbeast forms till claimed by locals and campers toinhabit the wilderness of the Wollondilly country. We shall certainly be revisiting this river site in hope ofturning up more evidence of the Abercrombie Giant.

The age of the mineralised molar is yet further evidence of a pre-Australoid [Aboriginal] Australian

Stone-Age past. The rate of mineralisation for quartzified fossils cannot be anything less than around 1million years BP., revealing that the giant race of the Abercrombie River country, the giant form of the Yowiestill claimed to roam the Wollondilly interior, has certainly been present hereabouts for a long time.

WATCHING THE SKIES AT KATOOMBA.by Rex Gilroy

    Copyright Rex Gilroy 2004.

Our clubs previous meeting, held on Saturday 19th September was a very enjoyable get-together, capped by avery successful Skywatch out on the know at Narrow Neck Plateau.

Everyone present saw mystery craft that appeared over in Burragorang Valley. We watched that valleyintensely as the event unfolded, I saw a gold-glowing light emerge from the valley, alerting the others most of

whom caught sight of it before it quickly vanished, or rather switched off in flight. Within minutes the otherlights appeared, each at short intervals before vanishing.

The fact is, things are hotting up in the Burragorang underground base lately, and there areindications of further expansions, as from frequent night-time sightings of UFOs seen by locals flying in andout of that valley, including a couple of daytime sightings.

Two of our club members, Johnny Burrows and Armides Morales, observed the goings on that nightand Johnny later sent Heather and I a report of what he and Armedes saw

I have created and uploaded to my website an animation of the 3 unusual things inchronological order that I witnessed while on Saturdays Skywatch on the ridge [19thSeptember, 2009] in the presence of Armides, Rex, Greg, Angelo, Ian, Vicki and at least 3 otherpeople.

The sightings include: [beyond the right of the saddle shaped valley] a momentarystreak of white light [which to my eye, appeared slightly brighter at the uppermost tip], a large, blue flash akin to that of a camera, [but huge] and something that looked like a rapidly moving, white [but glowing blue] equals sign [=] that flew from our left., bounced 2 or 3 times laterally, then once more as it continued on between the valley and around to the right [all inapproximately 1.5 seconds or less]. I think the = thing was an object emitting its own lightbecause with all the haze that night from bush fire or back burning activity and the sheerdistance it covered, if it had been a light projection, there would have been at least some beamsvisible but there were not. Fascinating.

Greg mentioned seeing a streak of light also just seconds before the one I saw. His wasin the distance behind the opposite side of the saddle shape and there was a plane visible atthe same time. I saw the plane but not the streak he saw. Armides also saw the bouncing =sign but lost sight of it before it shot off.

Everyone went home satisfied that they had had a successful Skywatch. Who knows what awaits us inthe coming months, what with all the activity going on in that valley lately!

MAJORBLUE MOUNTAINS LEYLINES DISCOVERED.by Rex Gilroy

    Copyright Rex Gilroy 2009.

On Wednesday 9th September 2009 Heather drove myself and Ann Taylor out to a bushland location northof Leura where we visited an ancient Uruan astronomical temple site already know to me on a highpromontory. This site provides a commanding view of the heavens, with a wide view taking in Sydney to theeast, and the countryside to the north, south and west.

The temple ruins show a passageway which led into the structure from the south, lined by largeironstone slabs long ago fallen over. At the western side is a stone marker, and I had long suspected that italigned with other stones in the immediate vicinity, and possibly with natural land formations far beyond thisstructure. To day I had not had an opportunity to test my theory.

Upon reaching the site Ann and I used tape measures to record the distances from the temple markerstone to prominent stones suspected by me to align with the marker. My compass clearly demonstrated that

we really were dealing with the hub of perhaps as many as seven ley lines. The flat promontory had provided an ideal site for astronomical observations by the Uru, who also

marked out what is surely a massive earth energy grid. From the central marker stone of the temple we measured a distance of 160 metres due south to an

ancient pile of stones, beyond which the ley line passed over another distant promontory on its Southwardcourse. At the southern end of the extensive flat promontory stand the fallen remains of another small

temple, this aligns with the central marker stone on a south-west course taking in the highest [hill] point ofLeura.

To the west of the central marker stone there is a distance of 70 metres to a cliff edge stone, formingan alignment with a nearby hilltop and a point on the north side of Medlow Bath on the western horizon.

From the central stone Ann and I could clearly see that there was a continuous ley line extendingfrom due west to due east, passing though this marker on across the lower Blue Mountains through twoprominent mounts on the eastern escarpment of the Blue Mountains. These landforms Ann aptly named the

Breasts of the Goddess. Another ley line passes from north-west to south-east through the central markerand another marker stone some metres from the central marker, the line taking in a distant rise on its coursesouth-east.

The north-west section of the ley line from the central marker stone passed, I realised, through anUru astronomical temple near Bell, far across the nearby Grose Valley. Another ley line was also discovered atthis time the south-west line itself passed through the central marker stone to the Mt Hay volcanic plug andpoints beyond to the north-east.

Looking directly north from the central maker stone some 30 metres away a pile of ancient stones werealised, aligned with the south alignment, to pass on north over Mt banks across the Grose Valley. This wassignificant, because the previous day Heather had driven me out here while I checked a few other sites.

Visiting the temple I had seen that there might be an alignment with Mt Banks and that it passed through the

northernmost of three jagged-looking peaks of another extinct volcano. Afterwards climbing this formationI reached the northern peak to find a tall ironstone pillar resting on the north edge overlooking a cliff.Upon closer inspection I found it to be a weathered head of the Uruan Sun-God, Nim. The top of the headbore a deep, weather-worn groove for the pouring of libations to the God. The face itself looked west, twolarge fading eyes, a prominent nose but no mouth [or else it had long ago worn away].

At the base of the head was a sandstone slab which I found to contain an inscription. The head was1.42 metres tall by 1.3 metres wide and 1 metre across the top of the head. The libation groove was 80cmlong down the side of the head [left side].

The inscription was later translated to read:

Place of Nim the Sun. Observe the Sun in the abyss of the heavens.

Behold the Serpent energy paths of Nim at this place. Here the energy flow is collected and is stored.

The stone measured 26cm wide and 22.5cm long by 9cm deep. Here was evidence of Uruanknowledge, at least 10,000 years in the past, of natural earth electro-magnetic energy which, as we know, theUru were somehow harnessing throughout Australia.

Ann and I uncovered a 1.24 metre long by 1.18 metre wide stone on the south end of the templepromontory. It bore an inscription which took me some days to translate:

Here give praise to the Sun, Nim and his sister Araat the Temple of Light and Fertility.

All gather and taste the sacred fungus [ie mushrooms].

To the Temple people come to gather. Here observe the Serpent Sun voyage across the heavens,

illuminating the earth with his rays from the heavenly abyss, his course marked by the priests.

Here the mating of the Sun and the Moon [ie eclipses]of Nim and Ara is observed.

These finds by Ann and I are but part of a bigger picture and the plan now is to visit the summits ofMt Hay and Mt Banks for further clues and perhaps see other continuing natural features which must exist to

show the full extents of these ley lines.-0-
