When our corporate staff attends events, training sessions or is encountered in the real world, the general response is You guys must have a lot of fun at the home office! And the truth is, yesour corporate office is a pretty fun and lively place to work. After all, the word fun is a part of our first Core Value, Live Fun, Freedom and Fulfillment.

But for every Regional event, UNITED! gathering or Boot Camp you attend, there is a huge (and thats an understatement!) team that has worked tirelessly for months on end to ensure the experience and memories stay with you until the next one rolls around.

This Voyager magazine, your recognition emails and your weekly newsletter are crafted by an insanely creative group of wordsmiths, editors and designers who have worked for weeks (and sometimes months) to engage, inspire and inform you with the written word and compelling imagery. When you reach a friendly voice at our customer service contact center, that person has undergone weeks of training and studying to ensure they guide each of you to an appropriate solution. And the WorldVentures Foundation has an extremely dedicated staff that strives to make an impact every day across the globe with our national and international partners.

And those are just a few of the many teams at the corporate office who are focused on ensuring daily the systems and processes supporting you are flawless. Our growth is only fueled by the hard work (and enthusiasm) of each and every one of you. Though we do work hard here at the home office, we want to say thank you for the delight and dedication you show us each day. It inspires us to give our max efforts to everything we present to you.

    Muchas gracias!

For a country named after frozen water, its easy to think Iceland isnt much more than just that ice. But if you dare to look beyond the normal vacation getaways and venture to this island country, youll find a host of opportunities await even the warmest-blooded traveler.

HAVE AN ADVENTUREBuilt on a mountain created by volcanic eruptions in the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, this Nordic-European country is home to three national parks, too many waterfalls to name, the aurora borealis and volcanoes, making Icelands greatest tourist attractions also its most natural.

Explore one of the three national parks, including Europes largest, Vatnajkull National Park, and hike some of the worlds most scenic trails. If youre up for the challenge, spend a few days trekking the Laugavegur hiking trail, popular with both locals and tourists from around the world. Stretching 34 miles, youll witness breathtaking views, ford a river, walk alongside waterfalls and walk in a canyon. At the end of a long days hike, rest up for the next days adventure in a hut or camp along the trail.

Between September and March, theres no better show to catch than the aurora borealis (northern lights). Wait for a crisp, cool night for the best performance of the colorful dancing lights, and watch from one of Icelands many beloved geothermal pools or even at the base of a glacier-topped volcano.

CULTIVATE YOUR SOULIf you prefer climate control versus nature, theres no shortage of indoor activities, especially cultural ones. Wander through art galleries; visit a museum dedicated to everything from whales to photography and music; treat your ears to the beautiful orchestrations of the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra; or discover the next Bjork at a local pub.

But no trip to Iceland would be complete without sampling local fare, which still looks similar to what the Vikings dined on. Try smoked puffin, or if youre daring, fermented shark or even a non-endangered species of whale. And if youre looking for something a little tamer, blend in with the locals, and add skyr to your breakfast, lunch or dinner. Icelanders love this cheese product that has the consistency of Greek yogurt, and you may just fall in love with it, too.

For a country thats almost 63 percent tundra, what remains is home to a treasure trove of memory-making opportunities for travelers and DreamTrippers alike. Learn why this Nordic paradise consistently ranks among favorite destinations across the web, and discover a new adventure in Iceland.

What does it take to be a legendary coach? What is different about Vince Lombardi from the Green

Bay Packers and Dan Gable from the Iowa Hawkeyes, or Sir Alex Ferguson from Manchester United?

What does it take to have people talk about your accomplishments and quote you years after you have retired? First and foremost, you have to win! I love when the great Michael Jordan was inducted into the Professional Basketball Hall of Fame, he said in his acceptance speech, Its true, there is no I in team, but there is an I in win!

You have to win if you want to be legendary, and you must do it consistently! While anyone who wins a championship is considered a champion, few of those one-time champions will become legends.

I mentioned Vince Lombardi, Dan Gable and Alex Ferguson, but there are others we should mention, too, like John Wooden, Coach K from NCAA college basketball, Phil Jackson and Red Auerbach of the NBA, or Bill Walsh, Chuck Knoll and Tom Landry from the NFL. There have been many great examples of coaching excellence over the years.

They all have unique talents that separate them from each other in some ways, but they all have one thing in common: They all

focused on making their players champions off the field first!

Coach K from Duke University is the winningest coach in the history of the NCAA. He said, Making the shots matter, but not as much as the person making the shots!

Many of Vince Lombardis former players went on to be great successes after playing for him. They all say he was instrumental in molding them into the men they became. He taught his players these priorities: God first, family second and football third!

John Wooden has won more championships than any coach in the history of the NCAA, and he was famous for teaching his players how to achieve success, which focused on being a successful person, more than a great player.

Phil Jackson has won more NBA championships than any other coach, and he is famous for working on his players minds and attitudes to separate them from all the other physically talented teams.

I have said many times over the years at our live events that when you work on your skills, you will make a living, but when you work on yourself, you can make a fortune! At WorldVentures, you start by working on yourself! Immerse yourself into our training and culture. The initial objective is for you to start to win! Then, get your team to do the same thing.

To sustain success in this business, you cannot focus on being a star player. You need to be a good player to set the pace, but the real success comes from being a great coach to the players on your team!

Do what Dan Gable did for the wrestlers in Iowa when they won close to 15 national championships over 20 years: Teach them that they can do anything! Show them that if they work hard enough to earn it, they can dominate their opponents!

Do what Bill Walsh did for his four NFL Super Bowl Championship teams: Script their first 20 plays so all they have to do is go out on the field and execute!

Do what Phil Jackson did with his 10 NBA Championship teams: Let the talent play. Dont over-coach them. Just keep their minds in the game and get them to believe in the proven system!

I could go on and on. The question iswho will be the legendary coaches to come out of WorldVentures? In 20 years there will be several who will distinguish themselves above and beyond all the others. I dont know who they will be, but I know what they will do: They will build people! They wont focus on the money at all. They will focus on building champions on and off the field.

As I said, I dont know who its going to be, but I do know one thing for sure: Its going to be glorious to watch!

The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him hes always doing both. James A. Michener

    BY WHITNEY ALSWEDE

For John and Andrea Walen, mastering the art of living isnt just a quoteits a way of life. Theyve mastered the art of incorporating

their passions for vacationing and living life to its fullest into almost everything they do, and for this small-town Texas couple, there may be no better way to Make a living Living!.

Their WorldVentures story started in 2009, when Andrea was introduced to the company and DreamTrips by, of all people, her boss, a successful chiropractor.

John and I were both working two full-time jobs, and we knew there was potential for the residual income we could earn through WorldVentures to be greater than a future Social Security check, Andrea says. Wed recently moved to Texas, so our warm market was pretty much non-existent, and we werent meeting many people outside of our co-workers. But we knew that if we could vacation so often that people would ask, How are you taking so many vacations? wed be successful.

EXPERIENCING MOREWith 35 vacations, 12 DreamTrips, visits to more than 30 countries and a Director rank under their belt, their plan is working. Really well. We love showing people our vacation photos, Andrea says. They always ask, How can I do that, too? We have Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest accounts, and weve even created a flip-book photo album, where each page shows a vacation or

experience weve been able to have because of DreamTrips and DreamTrips Life. When people see how excited we are, the fun weve had and the kind of fun were planning, theyre naturally attracted to us.

Their vacation stories and photos may help the Walens start conversations, but its their sincerity and authenticity that have turned those conversations into opportunities to share the DreamTrips message. Weve both seen tragedies happen at an early age, Andrea says. Weve heard so many people say, Ill take a vacation when I retire, or Ill travel when I have the time. But so many of those plans never come to fruition. Weve learned you cant wait until retirement, as that day may not come. The only time to live is now.

Andrea and I hope to always show people that they only have one life to live, so they should live it well, John says. We love talking about how vacationing has enriched our liveseven our marriage is benefitting from our travels. When we live day-to-day life, all we get to discuss are business and bills, but when were vacationing, were making plans, deciding what to do and where to gowere having fun. We want others to have the same peak experiences were having.

MORE THAN A VACATIONFor Andrea and John, WorldVentures has become more than just an opportunity to explore the world and pique peoples interest in DreamTrips. Rather, its resulted in a host of benefits closer to home neither could have predicted.

I was working with at-risk, abused children as a P.E. teacher until I was laid off, which was actually a blessing in disguise, John says. Because of our work with WorldVentures and DreamTrips, I didnt have to find another full-time positionI could accept a part-time job in the spring and summer as a statistician for one of the Texas Rangers Double-A Affiliate teams. Im working while doing what I truly love.

For her part, Andreas gone from splitting her time between two full-time jobs to one part-time position, re-dedicating the rest of her time to the couples ever-widening circle of friends, her house full of pets, personal growth and WorldVentures business. Going part time has allowed me to devote a lot more time to WorldVentures, she says. Its opened up my evenings to meet people one on one or in a group travel party. Ive found the best time to build this business is between 7 and 9 p.m., when people are done with their jobs. Working until 10 p.m. didnt allow me to do that.

LOOKING FORWARDAndrea and John say that as they work toward reaching International Marketing Director, theyll continue applying the never-quit, winning attitude John adopted during his sports days to realizing new dreams made possible by WorldVentureslike opening a sanctuary for parrots in Dallas and helping fight child abuse.

Because of our work with WorldVentures, now, we can touch so many people whove never been able to hope for a better life, Andrea says. John is looking forward to helping fight child abuse and I want to found a sanctuary for abused and neglected parrotsthese are things we could have never dreamed possible before WorldVentures.

Though they long to give back in big ways, their biggest contributions may just be their contagious positivity and inspiring outlook on life. Lifes too shortgo, have fun, create memories and have a good time, John says. Celebrate each time you achieve a goal. Surround yourself with happy, successful people. Dont put off vacations. Stay positive no matter what. Be a product of the product. Its not about the results youre getting because you cant control themits about the actions you decide to take daily.

How do you define fun, freedom and fulfillment? Every day, WorldVentures Independent

Representatives find ways to embrace these principles, found in the companys first Core Value, Live Fun, Freedom and Fulfillment. And though theyve endured ups and downs as they have grown their WorldVentures business, Tiffany and Mark Chappell have chosen to embody and customize what these words mean to them and their family.

I love our story, Tiffany shares. We are the underdog, so to speak. We are just an average couple who decided we didnt like the current situation we were in and we decided to make a difference in our lives and the lives of others.

The Chappells story with WorldVentures began five years ago, but their work ethicand the view of the traditional way to earn a living that they are moving away fromwas formed during their childhoods.

We wish we would have known about earning residual income much sooner, Tiffany laughs. We were both raised in middle-class families and were just taught how to work harder, rather than how to leverage teamwork. Multiple streams of income are the way wealth is created and will probably never happen working for the same employer year after year.

Its amazing how God has a plan far bigger than anything we can ever dream, Mark adds. The night before Tiffany was given a magazine about WorldVentures, she was on her knees, praying for direction. We were in a less-than-desirable position financially, stressed-out, overworked and grasping for a way to make things better.

Their betterand a newfound doorway to living the life they had only dreamed about beforewas WorldVentures.

Like many, the travel perks were what initially drew the Chappells to the company. I was attracted to the fun component, Tiffany says. There was no one who needed a vacation more than us! It was after the fact that I discovered a friend of mine who I went to anesthesia school with was one of the top earners in the company. It was at this point that I asked, Why not us?

By joining WorldVentures, I hoped to take my family on vacations that we normally couldnt afford, Mark says. Even prior to WorldVentures, we loved to travel, and the majority of our credit card debt we acquired was from taking vacations. We went when we couldnt afford to go, because we needed an escape from reality. Once we began to hear others success stories, we knew this was our shot to work toward total financial freedom.

The Chappells saw their opportunity for financial freedom and ran with it, and they havent looked back since. Mark actively

works the business full time, while Tiffany is involved on a part-time basis. And though they have taken some amazing DreamTrips, the couple loves to reflect on the level of fun they have as a family and how WorldVentures has provided more than just the opportunity for traveling for less.

Working together on a common goal has strengthened our marriage of 23 years, Tiffany says. We have spent more time together in the past five years than in the previous 18 combined. I have had more fun in the past five years! My kids have been on more trips since we have been with WorldVentures than most adults have taken in a lifetime, and we are just getting started.

Our favorite part of the business is the fun, Mark says. The many friendships we have developed are priceless. WorldVentures has truly given us our lives back.

Within the South African province of Kwa-Zulu Natal stands the city of Durban, an oceanfront metropolis

known for its subtropical climate and blend of Zulu, Indian and European influences. As South Africas third-largest city with the worlds largest concentration of Indians outside of India, Durban embodies the progress and promise of a post-apartheid society. It is here that native son Soojay Devraj learned the guiding principles that would propel him to personal and professional success.

I firmly believe in the Law of Sowing and Reaping, he explains. I only say, do and think good things so that I attract only good things into my life.

That philosophy has worked for Soojay, as the good things just keep on coming. Three years after joining WorldVentures as Representatives and DreamTrips Members, he and his wife, Cassandra, have achieved the coveted rank of International Marketing Director. They also enjoy the notoriety of being the only WorldVentures IMDs in all of Africa. The promotion has afforded the couple and their daughters, Katana and Jayeshni, a lifestyle that they dreamed about when they started WorldVentures.

I go on holiday every two months with the family, Soojay exclaims. We have a year planner on the wall. Whatever you dont put in writing never happens, so we put everything in writing. As a family, we decide all the fun activities we want to do in the year, and we schedule them on the year planner. This is always evolving.

And the ultimate symbols of their good fortune? I now drive a brand-new Mercedes- Benz C350 with an AMG Sports Kit and have just moved into a new home, both paid for with my WorldVentures house and car bonuses. I sleep so peacefully now knowing

that I am earning compensation for the two most expensive things in a persons life, a house and a car.

When they started with WorldVentures, the Devraj family lived for dream nights, when they would gather and swap fantasies about what they would do and buy if they only had the money. Today, Soojay proudly proclaims, We have designed our perfect life and we are living it.

But while material gain is certainly a goal worth pursuing, Soojay is largely driven by something deeper and far more personal.

    COVER STORY

THE SWEET LIFEIMDs SOOJAY AND CASSANDRA DEVRAJ SHARE THEIR PRINCIPLES OF SUCCESS

To him, having money is a responsibility, not merely a rewarda way to grow the business, develop his team, and leave a legacy for his family in short, to enhance the lives of others in addition to his own.

I am so happy to be freeing people from the shackles of debt like I was in when I started in WorldVentures. I did this within three years, he says. With God, all things are possible. I am living proof of that. And getting paid every Monday serves as an acknowledgement of the number of peoples lives I have changed for the better.

HOW IT ALL BEGANRaised in a family with a doting older brother, Venu, Soojay learned the value of hard work and self-discipline. A consummate planner, he set clearly defined goals for his future and developed an action plan to achieve them. After graduating with a masters degree in business administration, he became an entrepreneurpurchasing a clothing factory and a video franchise. When these two ventures ultimately failed, he entered corporate banking. The only problem, I hated it. I had no life, he laments, alluding to long hours with little reward.

Still seeking personal and professional fulfillment, he joined the sales team of Success University, drawn by the direct-selling companys focus on personal development. Owner Matt Morris would become his friend and, over time, Soojay rose in rank to become the organizations No. 1 income earner in South Africa. But his ascension came at a price: I was burned-out, he says. Yet, following a merger between Success University and WorldVentures, this experience would be the precursor to the prosperity and personal freedom he enjoys today.

But make no mistake, the journey here has not been smooth; rather, it was punctuated with pitfalls.

Ninety percent of Soojays team quit within three months of the merger with WorldVentures. With their income depleted, the Devrajs scraped to put food on the table. Cassandra needed financial security, so she asked me to find a job and to do WorldVentures part time. I chose to put all my faith in God, Soojay remembers. We began with empty pockets, but I knew that if we could just prove to everyone that this was real, it would explode the business. I realized that WorldVentures was going to grow with or without me.

To get started, Soojay began prospecting and conducting one-on-one presentations to showcase the business opportunity. Once enough people had signed up, they started holding weekly travel parties. Cassandra and the kids were in charge of the venue setup, including audio-visual and registration, and I was in charge of doing the presentations. It was a winning combination. We focused on each others strengths, Soojay explains.

But perhaps the biggest hurdle the couple faced was Soojays chronic fatigue, which significantly impaired his mobility and sapped his energy. I used to hold the walls behind me with my fingers when I did presentations in the beginning to stop myself from collapsing, he says. I also suddenly became allergic to tablets, which blew up

    COVER STORY

my knees. Many times I could not walk at training events and DreamTrips in South Africa. I even ended up in a wheelchair at airports while going to the UNITED! convention in Las Vegas.

Through it all, Soojay and Cassandra kept their eyes firmly fixed on the prize. My mind was stronger than my body. I willed myself to fight off fatigue and do the presentations no matter what, he asserts. I bought tons of powder supplements and made adjustments to increase my energy levels. It was a process that took time through trial and error. I never used it as an excuse about why I could not get to the top. In this business, you can either make excuses or you can make money. You cant do both. I chose the money.

Sales started sluggishly, days were long, and the couple made enough mistakes to fill a textbook. Eventually it all paid offsignups soared and profits boomed. The goal was to get the Regional Marketing Director car bonus to show everyone in Africa that it was possible, Soojay says. Once we hit RMD and got our first car, a Mercedes-Benz 300 with an AMG Sport Kit, and went on the RMD DreamTrip, it was the game changer for us. Within the next nine months, we hit IMD.

Oh, and about that chronic fatigue? I am fully recovered, he says.

    COVER STORY

THE SWEET LIFERather than bask in his own accomplishments, Soojay largely attributes his success to hispartnership with Cassandra. Nobody gets to the top without the help of somebody. It is such a pleasure to work the business with my wife, he beams. We spend quality time together. We do everything together. She is my best friend. WorldVentures is the first business that Cassandra is excited about and actually does with me, because she sees evidence that it works.

To those who may doubt the earnings potential and opportunities available, Soojay says emphatically: WorldVentures is the best opportunity in the world today, in my professional opinion, after evaluating it as an MBA graduate, and comparing it with four different direct-selling companies and the two different traditional businesses I was in over the last 18 years. You dont get better than this.

Now that I know better, I should not have believed people who said what they were going to do with this business, he continues. I stopped recruiting new people and was waiting for them to call me to present for them. They have all quit the business. There are many talkers and very few performers. I guess that is why Wayne Nugent always says, We hear what you say, but we see better than we hear. Dont stop recruiting personals because you want to

give more time to your team. If your team wants your help, they will call you. In the meantime, carry on recruiting personals.

Soojay and Cassandra devote an average of 30 hours per week to the business. The rest of their time is spent doing the things they lovetraveling, going to movies, shopping, eating out, listening to personal-development material, and spending quality time together with their children. Understanding that symbolic work-life boundaries are almost impossible to maintain, they accept that their personal and professional lives are inextricably linked. They, therefore, find ways to include family instead of ways to exclude work. The very premise of WorldVentures makes this effort seamless.

Our passion is traveling, so WorldVentures was a natural fit for us, Soojay explains. In five years, we plan to have more than 100,000 members on our team, and go on three overseas holidays and five local holidays every year. And in 10 years, we will be spending even more time traveling to other countries, enjoying the food, cultures, people and experiencing all that life has to offer. In short, well be having the adventures that I dreamed of when I was 6 years old.

and, most importantly, providing his wife and children with everything they want.

The legacy I want to leave to my family is the importance of having a good work ethic; living according to the Law of Sowing and Reaping; having an attitude of gratitude; and being respectful. Work comes first and then play, explains Soojay, adding that he and Cassandra are grooming their daughters, ages 9 and 12, to become entrepreneurs while theyre young so they can be financially free by the age of 18.

After all, he says, entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of society. They are the innovators, the change agents, the risk takers. In the words of master financial strategist, David DArcangelo, author of Wealth Starts at Home: Entrepreneurs are those who strike out on their own, committed to creating financial freedom by taking total control of their work environment and income goals. Rather than accepting the conditions of a corporate lifestyle (where other people tell them how much they can earn, when they can expect to receive a raise, and what career track they should follow), entrepreneurs take the risks to get the rewards.

Risk is often a companion to failure, but together, they lay the foundation for achievement.

Asked his biggest blunder in business, Soojay offers the following: Trying to stop people from making mistakes in this business that I had already made. You want to protect your team, but theyre going to eventually do it their way, and learn the hard way what works and what does not. You cant stop this from happening. I had to make peace with myself to let this go and give them the opportunity to make mistakes. I guess that is all part of growing up in this business.

His recommendation to others seeking to achieve big dreams with WorldVentures is to find a mentor who has achieved what you desire, and who is prepared to work with you. Do exactly what they say. And have a strong why, he advises. It will keep you going when you experience failure and frustration and you will. Another cautionary word, remember to reach back as you climb. Success should be circular, not linear. Translation: No matter how high you soar, remember where you started and take someone with you on your journey. Like all exceptional entrepreneurs, Soojay answers the question, Can you make the choice that your happiness will come from the success of others? with a resounding Yes!

He credits legendary life coach Zig Ziglar with giving him the best advice he has ever received: If you help enough people get what they want, you will get what you want.

THE COMPASS OF COMPASSIONTHE WORLDVENTURES FOUNDATION REVITALIZES THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB IN LAS VEGAS

    BY CHANCELLOR PAGE

Compassion asks that you do more than recognize whats going on in the world. True compassion

compels you to feel, to respond and to reach out to others. It eschews idealism and pie-in-the-sky at all costs, and focuses on the moment, on action rather than what ifs?, choosing to improve the quality of life for families in need, right now. If you follow it, compassion will take you places. And on your journey, the contrast of gratitude and epic disparity may bring you clarity and catharsis. But one things for certain: You will never be the same.

Case in point: The more than 100 WorldVentures Foundation volunteers who painted the exterior of the downtown Boys & Girls Club of Las Vegas, during National Boys & Girls Club Week, prior to UNITED!. Stray just minutes from the neon jungle and dizzying embellishments of the Strip, and youll find that Las Vegas is not so different from the rest of the world. Volunteers boarded two busses and drove through underprivileged neighborhoods, past the gestures of palm trees and arrived at the inner city, where families struggle in the shadow of exuberance. Here, the Boys & Girls Club has been a haven for children in need of guidance and hope for 50 years.

This is a club that really needs help right now from the community, Development Coordinator of the Boys & Girls Clubs Gabe Suarez says. Its a great volunteer project and a great way to reach out and revitalize the club.

All of our kids live in this area, Director of Operations of the Boys & Girls Clubs Alma Spears adds. They walk here and we wanted to increase their self-worth by providing them with a building that they can be proud of. The kids cant wait to see it. We needed the WorldVentures Foundation as much as they wanted to be with us. It was the perfect partnership.

Speaking of partnerships, thanks to WorldVentures Foundation volunteer Max Klein, Glidden and Home Depot also got in on the act.

Glidden donated all of the paint and Home Depot donated the equipment and has plans for future endeavors with the WorldVentures Foundation, Executive Director of the WorldVentures Foundation Gwyneth Lloyd says. This is one of the first clubs to be painted the Boys & Girls Club blue, which has just been rolled out nationally. We are establishing a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of America and will continue to identify and contribute to projects with them across the United States in the future.

THE HEART SPACEBuoyed by goodwill, volunteers saw this as a way to beautify a place so integral to the community that it has become a home for kids to find mentorship and meaning. And along the way, they identified something in themselves that was stronger than time or money: their will to change the world, and themselves, one experience at a time.

Its so wonderful to be involved with a company where you get to give back,

    FEATURE

volunteer and Independent Representative Deanna Bordelon says. Thats what brings this company full circle. Because to give back at all, you have to grow in your heart to that state, and this company provides the opportunity for everyone to grow into the heart space. The WorldVentures Foundation is the heart space of WorldVentures.

To celebrate the humanity and vision of volunteers, like Deanna, who embrace the ultimate WorldVentures brand promise (fulfillment), the Manifest Foundation made a name change to the WorldVentures Foundation, officially announced at UNITED! in April. Now volunteers who make every Service Excursion, VolunTour DreamTrip and DreamCourt a reality are duly recognized in the namesake.

From responding to the needs of families in at-risk communities to having their first experience at a WorldVentures Foundation event, volunteers from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Singapore and the United States came together for a cause, which, for many, benefitted children halfway around the world. But perhaps some of the most relevant moments on this day resonated as expressions of gratitude: Many Reps responded to this service excursion with reverence, acknowledging how the Boys & Girls Club helped shape their lives.

For volunteer Steven Crosby, for instance, the connection with the Boys & Girls Club was so significant, it contributed to the very cohesion of his childhood and emotional development. My father died in a car accident by a drunk driver when I was 8

years old, he says, and my mother and I relied on the Boys & Girls Club to help us through that time.

Because volunteers, like Steven, are the backbone of the WorldVentures Foundation, their diversity of backgrounds, cultures and perspectives are manifested in every Service Excursion, making each event a unique experience, much like the gathering of extended family members, who cultivate respect and belief in each other.

No other symbol could represent the closeness of this community than two people who, on this day, during this Service Excursion, decided to become husband and wife. Jeff Wong proposed to Winnie Hoe in a very intimate and quiet moment on the basketball court behind the Boys & Girls Club. He presented her with a photo album, which was the story of their firsts, and would continue to be the story of their lives. This was their first VolunTour as a couple, and would be, according to Jeff, the first of a lifetime of VolunTours together. When Winnie said Yes, it marked the end of the day, and the beginning of many good things to come.

THE CAMPAIGN OF CONSCIENCEIf you want to truly understand what its like to devote yourself to others, look no further than Gwyneth Lloyd. After several years in leadership at the Girl Scouts Foundation, Gwyneth is at the helm of the WorldVentures Foundation.

Gwyneths investment in community service and her experience improving the quality of life for families and children worldwide is matched by her thoughtful approach to fundraising, and her cultivation of authentic and transparent partnerships, like the one established with the Boys & Girls Club. Today, 100 percent of the funds raised by the WorldVentures Foundation and its partners for a specific project are donated solely to that project.

To help her steer the course, Gwyneth hand-picked her team, bringing together the unique qualities and strengths of Kassy Rosewitz, Dara Stork and Lori Streiff to complement her leadership and help navigate the future of the WorldVentures Foundation. Their combined expertise in program management, international relations, marketing and communications is evident behind the scenes, and on every VolunTour.

And the Service Excursion at the Boys & Girls Club was no exception. The organization and enthusiasm of this team ensured every WorldVentures Representative and DreamTrips Member had a worthwhile experience that, on this day, became a way to serve the children in a community in Las Vegas, and which will, in the days to come, assist volunteers in providing for the welfare of children and families in communities worldwide.

  • REVERSAL OF FORTUNE JULIO ACOSTA JR., NATIONAL MARKETING DIRECTOR

    BY FELICIA FULLER

In the gritty Brooklyn borough where Julio Acosta Jr. grew up, drugs were abundant but jobs were scarce.

And crime stats soared higher than graduation rates. It was the type of area where childs play gave way to dangerous games of razor tag. It was the type of area buzzing with kids, though fathers were conspicuously absent.

I grew up the oldest of four kidstwo sisters and a little brother. My mother was caring, soft and nurturing. My dad was never around, says Julio, now 27. We never had much money, or much of anything, but we had each other. As the oldest without a father figure, I never really had that sense of protection from the outside elements, or a blueprint on how to be a man.

Fast-forward to 2011 and enter Johnny Wimbrey, Ed Blunt, Jefferson Santos, Matt Morris, Wayne Nugent, Mike Azcue and Eddie Head. These self-made men became Julios first mentors when he joined WorldVentures as a Representative and DreamTrips Member at his wifes urging just two years ago. Julio credits these leaders with inspiring his rise from Representative to National Marketing Director.

On a personal note, they offer affirmation that there are people out there who really care, he says. Now I know you can achieve anything your heart desires as long as you first find the vehicle and are willing to work harder than you and anyone you meet ever has.

This is the life lesson Julio and his wife, Marketing Director Valerie Acosta, hope to impart to their children: 4-year-old princess Caitlyn Jae and infant son, Tyler, who arrived March 18, 2013.

and buying my wife expensive handbags. Not bad for a kid once classified as at-risk because of his ZIP code and family circumstances.

I just needed a way out. Ive tried everything and worked it to the limit, but I never got out of anything what I really wanted, explains Julio, who previously worked as a hotel manager. WorldVentures is my calling. It offers fun, freedom and fulfillmenta combination that has given me life and opened my eyes to unlimited opportunities.

His business strategy is founded on a direct- selling concept coined IPETInvite, Present, Enroll and Train. The key here is duplication. As part of this system, Julio instructs his team to make a list of 20 prospects and apply the IPET principle for themselves. Executed correctly, this methodology can yield success.

Julio himself is living testament to that. But he doesnt rest in that reality; he drives hard daily, working stronger and smarter than the day before. And in those moments when he needs an extra dose of motivation, he reflects on his days in the hood, throws back a 5-hour ENERGY, and cranks up his favorite rhythms from Jay-Z, Lil Wayne or Drake: Started from the bottom, now were here!

Thanks to the opportunities that WorldVentures has afforded them, Julio and his wife are living their dreams while building a future for their family.

I can take better care of my siblings, and I have the power and freedom to move my mother out of the hood without sacrificing quality family time or budgeting money, he says proudly. I work hard, but I love what I do and its paid off better than I could have fathomed. Its been about a year since Ive needed a traditional job. Ive been on 25 trips over the last 26 months. I drive a new BMW 5 Series and a new Range Rover Sport. Im earning a six-figure income, raising my kids full time,

    BY PAULA FELPS

Roufos Spyros was working long days and struggling to find success when his friend,

Theodoros Chrysostomou, told him about WorldVentures.

I was the owner of two businesses and I worked 14 hours a day to make my money back, says 29-year-old Roufos, who lives in the city of Alexandroupolis in northern Greece. When Theodoros told him about WorldVentures, he was intrigued by the idea of making money and being able to pursue his love of travel.

I made the decision, This is my life, he recalls. Theodoros became his sponsor and, for seven months, he juggled his new pursuit with his two other businesses. Finally, he decided to make it his full-time pursuit and today, he has thousands of active members on his team and recently achieved the rank or Regional Marketing Director.

WorldVentures has definitely changed my life, Roufos says. Now I have my own free time and I have a dream life. WorldVentures can change lives to make the world a better place. Part of what appeals so strongly

to Roufos is that he is able to not only find personal success, but is able to help othersmake their dreams come true as well. To him, this is what it means to truly live well. Its not about cars or houses. I want to live every day with positive, healthy peoplewith fun, freedom and fulfillment!

Because of his natural passion to help others succeed, he is at his happiest when he is training others.

I tell them I am not better than them, and I show them how they can have even better results than I did in two years time, he says. I am here to help them work together. Our job is all about teamwork.

Our goal is to make this team the next millionaires dynasty, the best and the biggest team in the world, he says. Our purpose is to serve more people and give them financial freedom and more free time.

His natural optimism and his innate entrepreneurial skills have helped him build his business, and he is impressed with the personal development that has accompanied his path to success.

Because of WorldVentures, I learned more about myself, he says. You dont know what you dont know. But no one can stop you from making great things happen, and I have learned that when you refuse to quit, you can make your future betteryou just have to believe in yourself.

Today, instead of working harder to make his original businesses succeed, Roufos has turned his attention completely to WorldVentures. He is dreaming bigger and seeing the fruits of his labor, and he is excited to help others find the same path to personal and financial freedom. When I dream big, my business gets better and better, he says. This has been a massive action plan for my dreams.

  • BY PAULA FELPSDerron Walker and Sarah Bale met in 2007, when Derron had taken six months away from his

New York home to study in Australia. The connection that they made endured, and three years ago, Sarah moved from Australia to New York so the two could begin a life partnership.

Now, theyve taken that relationship one step further, becoming partners in WorldVentures. Derron, a professional drummer, and Sarah, a former real-estate agent, both found the lifestyle offered by WorldVentures appealing. And, since both had experience working independently, theyve been able to make a smooth transition to business partners and self-employment.

We both had the strong desire to be our own bosses, Derron says. The ability to travel and make money at the same time was a no-brainer for us!

He adds that travel has always been a strong interest of his, and Sarahs family owned their own business, so the opportunities presented by WorldVentures fit perfectly with their long-term dreams and goals.

The first thing we do every morning is start the day with some positive audio, Derron says. It gets you in the right state of mind.

But it takes more than the right state of mind to create an income, and today, they both are happy with the new skill sets theyve achieved since joining WorldVentures. They are intent on visualizing their goals and being very specific with what they want to achieve, and Derron says the personal development theyve experienced since joining has impacted every area of their lives. They have learned how powerful it is to get uncomfortable to reach new heights, and have had to unlearn the mediocre tendencies weve been taught our entire lives. In doing so, they have seen

doors open up and new opportunities appear for them.

In the last 12 months, we have learned so much about ourselves. We have pushed ourselves and stepped out of our comfort zone and we are on a clear path to achieve our goals, Derron says. Those goals include being able to live a full lifenot just financially, but in a physical and emotional sense as well.

We want to have the freedom to do what we please and to help others do the same, he says. We want to change millions of lives through a positive vision and WorldVentures is our vehicle to do that. We will make it happen!

WorldVentures has already changed their lives and lifestyle; they love that they are no longer tied to a regular job and are able to travel almost every month. But they are most excited about what they will be able to do forand withothers.

WorldVentures is an amazing vehicle that will enable us to reach our goals, financially and individually, Derron says. We will create positive change in the lives of others through this. We both strongly believe it. The world will remember our names.

    BY SCOTT KRAMER

Anyone whos ever been successful has tapped some sort of internal motivation. In the case of Michael

Colella, a WorldVentures Director, he recalls his parents emigrating from Italy in 1973 with two young children. He was just 4 years old and his sister 11, yet his parents came to this country with nothing, knowing no English at the time and working factory jobs, taking overtime whenever they could, to make a better life for me and my sister, Michael says. I saw them struggle financially as they assimilated to the United States. It was that situation that led to a self-promise that he would become a success, make his parents proud, and only work for himself. Starting at age 23, his business ventures included owning a successful restaurant, being a private investigator for more than a decade, owning a process serving company, as well as Illinois largest limousine companies. However, all of that was so time-consuming that he could never enjoy the things he loved doing. Then, three years ago, a friend introduced him to WorldVentures, which he joined as a part-timer on March 18, 2010. Shortly afterwards,

    LIMITLESSMICHAEL COLELLA, DIRECTOR

however, he saw its potential and he built it up to a full-time business. I saw a phenomenal opportunity to be able to help so many people in a down economy, he explains. I have friends who have lost their jobs, homes and cars. These events created a tremendous amount of stress in their relationships and marriages, which led to divorce and separations (in some cases). I felt that if I was able to help show them a way to generate an extra income, this would help them in many facets of their lives. Early on, he took a limo ride with WorldVentures Co-Founder Wayne Nugent, who told him that the people who play together, stay together. Since then, Michael prides himself on creating a family atmosphere with his team, coined Living Without Limits. He hosts movie nights, bowling events and comedy club shows. At our UNITED! 2012 convention, I arranged to have a huge limo take many members of our team to the Las Vegas race track where we drove Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, Aston Martins and other exotic vehicles, he says. For the past two years, I hosted a huge Christmas party for more than 100

teammates. Every Sunday we get together for a team brunch. One of the many reasons that I do these events and parties is so teammates will get to know one another, become friends, and learn from and help one another. He also acknowledges everyones birthday on his team website, so that they feel special. Clearly, WorldVentures has improved Michaels existence. Its giving me the ability to enjoy my life more in so many ways, he says. I have been on many vacations in the last three years, and have met some wonderful people solely because of this company. I always tell people in my presentations that the residual income is wonderful; the vacationing is incredible. The BMW that I earned is outstanding. But in the end, it is all about the friends and the relationships that I have made along the way. In fact, Michaels fiance, Cherise Dutka, has her own WorldVentures business, too. He considers the company a Godsend thats provided him freedom to travel and realize the childhood promise he made to himself. Not to mention, Michael adds, it has allowed me to take wonderful vacations with my parents, creating memories we will cherish for a lifetime.

A NEW PURPOSE HADIATU DUMBUYA, SENIOR REPRESENTATIVE

    BY SCOTT KRAMER

Life can change in a matter of months. Just ask Hadiatu Dumbuya, a WorldVentures Senior

Representative in the midwestern United States. Last year, the entrepreneur whod been running an international basketball player development organization suddenly found herself in Cincinnati, preparing to donate a kidney to her older brother. A friend showed her a WorldVentures Just Push Play DVD. I loved the travel part and was very excited about it, says Hadiatu, who says she immediately saw the companys potential. Then I was told that my mom and brother were released from their jobs, so I wanted to start earning a residual income to help. With that motivation, she jumped on board with WorldVentures, initially intending to make it a part-time endeavor. She began building a team. Incidentally, the person who introduced her to WorldVentures, Julian Bernard, was also there for her every step of the way, growing her business while she was recovering from her kidney donation.

After recovering from the successful kidney transplant, things began clicking. I was seeing my team grow more and more, says Hadiatu, who now puts in full-time hours while running her other business full time, as well. I came back from surgery in December. I hit 30x30 soon after, plus the BMW bonus. Hadiatu has noticed that its best in buildingher business to run with people while theyre ready. And when things get stagnant, show more people. I spend a lot of time with my team and make sure to help them with their outside businesses to keep them motivated. I also like to show them how to use the Just Push Play DVDs as early as possible. Her method seems to be working well. Shes seen glimmers of hope in people when they otherwise wouldnt have any. Team members have developed personally, which has helped bring their families closer. For example, her team includes three mothers who are spending much more time with their children

while growing an empire. It makes me so happy to see these relationships blossom, she says.

WorldVentures will allow many people to see that consistency pays off in every aspect of the business and in life. For my life, I know WorldVentures will enable me to do more of what I was meant to dohelp more people achieve their goals. That closeness has made her feel that her WorldVentures circle is an extended family. Going through what she has the past six months, Hadiatus even more inspired to succeed. Every morning, she reads motivational quotes on her phone, and practices positive self-talk. If that doesnt work, she takes a step back for some me time and then gets back to it, once shes refocused. Make no mistake, Hadiatu Dumbuya is a rising star in the WorldVentures family, thanks to her team and the guidance of her mentors. Gail Spears, Bobby Cochran, and Julian and Patricia Bernard have consistently supported me, even when I was in the hospital, and when I returned home, she says.

Hadiatus aspirations include moving up in the organization and becoming an integral part in opening up more markets in Africa. In 10 years, she plans on taking month-long vacations and participating in more VolunTour DreamTrips, as well. But for now, her goals are simple. I am so ready to take a DreamTrip with my brother, now that we are both healthy, she says. Thank you, WorldVentures, for giving us a chance to make money and travel together.

I KNOW WORLDVENTURES WILL ENABLE ME TO HELP MORE

    PEOPLE ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS.
