The REIPPPP is expanding into a world leading programme, with South Africa already exceeding the USA in the percentage of renewables in the grid. 2% may not seem like a lot, but this has been achieved in just 5 years, with the graph about to bend upwards as more and more projects connect. Add to this the diversity of technologies being rolled out: Solar, wind, CSP, co-generation, bio gas, hydro, gas, and geothermal projects are connected, under construction, or on the planning table.
