Enjoy the Freedom!

“Sell your possessions and give to those in need. This will store up

treasure for you in heaven! And the ‘purses’ of heaven never get old or

develop holes. Your treasure will be safe; no thief can steal it and no moth

can destroy it. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your

heart will also be.” Luke 12:33-34

Don’t Worry!

1 Corinthians 3:10-11 Because of God’s grace to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder. Now others are building on it. But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ.

Yet Optional

Amazing Reward!

Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value.

If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames.

• And the Lord said, "Who then is the faithful and sensible steward, whom his master will put in charge of his servants, to give them their rations at the proper time? Luke 12:42

If the master returns and finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward. I tell you the truth, the master will put that servant in charge of all he owns. Luke 12:43-44

Fakes Need Not Apply

But what if the servant thinks, ‘My master won’t be back for a while,’ and he

begins beating the other servants, partying, and getting drunk? Luke 12:45

The master will return unannounced and unexpected, and he will cut the servant in pieces and banish him with the unfaithful. Luke 12:46

Big Losers“A servant who knows

what the master wants, but isn’t prepared and doesn’t

carry out those instructions, will be

severely punished.” (Luke 12:47)

Little Losers

But someone who does not know, and then does

something wrong, will be punished only lightly… (Lk.

12:48)

When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required. (Lk. 12:48b)

"Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division; for from now on five members in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three. "They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law." Five who were foolish didn’t take enough olive oil for their lamps, but the other five were wise enough to take along extra oil. Matt. 25:3-4

Then the five foolish ones asked the others, ‘Please give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.’ Matthew 25:8 Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned,

they stood outside, calling, ‘Lord! Lord! Open the door for us!’ “But he called back, ‘Believe me, I don’t know you!’ Matt. 25:11-12

Good Advice"For while you are going with your opponent to appear before the magistrate, on your way there make an effort to settle with

him, so that he may not drag you before the judge, and the judge turn you over to the officer, and the officer throw you

into prison. Luke 12:58

Don’t Seek God’s Justice!

"I say to you, you will not get out of there until you have paid the very last
