Our Mission:In the Bible, we are told to “train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) We support and encourages parents in nurturing and instructing their children in the Lord. Our purpose is to reach preschoolers and their families for Jesus Christ, building a caring relationship with them, and provide them with a strong spiritual foundation so they can grow into mature followers of Christ.
Preschool Ministry
Child Saftey & Security:Security for your child is a top priority at GBC. Children especially need to feel secure and loved in their environment. We have a security system in place anytime pre-schoolers are participating in church activities. Parent are also welcome to check in on their little ones at any time during a session. Silent pagers are also available upon request.

Our children’s ministry at GBC exists to share Christ with the children of our community, team them with other Christians, advance them in their spiritual maturity, help them to recognize their spiritual gifts and to surrender their lives to God.
Children’s Ministry

Let kids worship… like kids! Kidstuf is a God-focused, kid-friendly worship experience each Sunday at 10:40 am for 1st-5th graders. Kidstuf does not meet on the last Sunday of each month and encourages family worship on that Sunday.

Students today are ill equipped to look at the messages bombarding them from the media through the lens of a Christian worldview. The result? A belief that conflicting ideas can be equally true. As Christians, we know that to be false.
The student ministry at Gladeville Baptist Church works diligently against the “Truth is relative” mantra. Our programs are designed to equip students to sift through the changing messages of today’s pop culture. We believe firmly that Truth is not relative and that investing in students will inspire them to influence positive change in their culture rather than conforming to it.

We dig into God’s Word and apply it directly to ever-changing teen culture. Students and caring adults discuss parent relationships, peer pressure, friends,values, and boundaries all within the context of God’s perfect plan for their lives.
We begin in The Premier Room and break out into smaller Bible Studies based on grade and gender.
Life Groups
These are small that groups are gender specific and meet in 6-8 week intervals 4-6 times a year, typically on Sunday nights. We find that the absence of the opposite sex alleviates pressure and discussion barriers for guys and girls alike. We help them develop a deeper relationship with Christ and each other.

We have a place for students to hang out with their friends over a coke or coffee, and there’s no pressure for them to do anything when they walk through the door. The bounce-off-the-wall outgoing, the shy, quiet, and the more reserved teen, will both find a comfortable fit at either of these services.
Missions
Middle School students are encouraged to serve by participating in local missions and mission trips. Students who volunteer locally usually perform some type of service for the community or an individual. At least two are planned each year.

Recently our High School ministry has partnered with a church in the New Orleans area, and students have been working to clean up and restore housing in greater New Orleans and surrounding communities.

WISDOM HOUSE Wisdom House is an after-school program for elementary through high school students. It is designed to help them achieve excellence and discover personal meaning, life purpose, and fulfillment. It builds upon and supplements the normal academic and educational experience available in public and private schools. Wisdom House exists to help students achieve academically, develop healthy lifestyles, and learn values that will sustain and guide them to be and do all that God has intended.
Wisdom House is organized, administered, and staffed with qualified educational administrators and instructors, all of whom are professing Christians. Courses are fee-based, with the facilities and financial administration of the program being provided by Gladeville Baptist Church. The program provides a rotation of four courses of study: values development, personal development, recreational development, and technological development. Classes meet once a week on Tuesdays from 4:00-6:00 pm in Annex I.
