It’s that pizziola sausage pasta. It’s a hummus wrap at Urban harvest. Remember that luncheon with the crab cakes? It’s the freshest craft beer served in a weird round glass on a Tuesday with a live jam up front. But at your favorite local joint, it’s not just beer, it’s personal.
In 2009, Jill R. Sanford bought the Walrus and with passion and a true heart for service, took a great Bismarck tradition and made it better. The freshest ingredients? Of course. Innovation in the kitchen? You bet. The best craft beer menu for miles? No argument. Catering that goes above and beyond? We can keep going...yes, this little restaurant can and does but it’s not just the food and the beer. It is the people.
Visit the Walrus and there’s a good chance you’ll see a familiar face. It may be your server, it may be your friend in the booth across the way or may be Jill, always on the move, stopping over to say hi. Stop by on a Tuesday night for live music and a fine craft beer or two and the vibe will make you smile. Conversation in the back and grooves in the front. Budding relationships and long-lasting friendships. Where the front of the house and the back of the house meet over a pint and a jam. The Walrus is more than your favorite local spot. It is a little piece of family.

Not only are these guys fit, they are fun. They promise a great show for
the fans. And life outside the ring? We had a chance to ask them about
their favorite Spot.

Nordic Woodstock. Perhaps we overshot it. Norsk Høstfest
is the spot tens of thousands visit each year celebrating
Scandinavian heritage. Whether your goal is Rømmegrøt, a
piece of silver jewelry or a handcrafted sweater, it’s a festival
not to miss. Lefse? Yeah, they have that too.
What really makes Høstfest a SPOT contender is the long
list of ticketed and free entertainment. Once you’re done
consuming, start attending.
