Our Newsletter Has ChangedOur MLFT newsletter now has a great new look, feel, and features.

Yes. This email is really different. We are now using MailChimp and we madethe change for two reasons. First, security. The internet is a great thing, but ithas flaws; its default email has no built in address authentication. So you cannot validate where your email is coming from. Moving to MailChimp helps ussecure your email address and helps keep junk and harmful email out of yourinboxes. If you see email in a different format than this, you should look it overcarefully before opening it or clicking any links.

Next, the newsletter gets new features like calendar links and compatibility withyour mobile devices. Be sure to see the next section and add our Septembermeeting to your calendar. Then view this email on your smart phone. Enjoy!

Staying safe is and important part of a great day of fly fishing. Finding yourselffloating down the river can ruin an otherwise idyllic outing.

This months tip:Know the conditions — Especially on larger waters, use the internet to check thewater conditions before you commit to a location. There are many resources, but the USGS is always a good source.
