HIGH DEMAND FOR PIPE REHABILITATIONThe total length of drainage systems on private and industrial properties is far greater than the publicsewer system. Studies in various regions recorded a leakage of 50 to 70 percent. One fifth of the tested pipes should be rehabilitated in the short to medium term to avoid more serious damage in the future. The ProblemsExfiltration: Through defective pipes wastewater can enterinto the ground. The discharge of pollutants intothe ground is illegal and contamination of soiland groundwater must be avoided.

Infiltration:If clean groundwater and rainwater enters faultysewage pipes, it must be cleaned at the treatmentplant and this leads to a significant increase insewage charges.

Value of the property Leaking pipes can cause a wet basement, a blockage or even a collapse of the pipes during heavy rainfall. If the damage is detected in time, it can be easily removed and expensive conse-quential damage can be avoided.

Permits and approval certificatesThe BRAWOLINER® is of course DIBt-appro-ved for the renovation of underground pipes (permit number: Z-42.3-362) and of pipes laid inside buildings (permit number: Z-42.3-499). In spring 2019, the BRAWOLINER® 3D received the DIBt-approval (permit number: Z-42.3-566) for the exceedingly fast and cost-effective rehabilitation of sewage pipes by the curing with UV- and LED- light. The BRAWOLINER® renovation products also conform to various international standards (such as QUiK, kiwa and WRC CP308), while fulfilling the requirements of BS EN ISO 11296-4:2011. Furthermore it passed the Thames Water Infiltra-tion Test.
