The Book… The book is a telling of a single story told in four chapters by four different people. Each of the narrators are telling of Caddy Compson and their take on what is happening to the family. The first chapter is the hardest for people to comprehend because it is told by Caddy’s mentally challenged brother, Benjy. The other three chapters are much easier to understand. The story is further told by Quentin in the second chapter, Jason in the third chapter and then the book ends with Faulkner telling the story but he focuses on Dilsey.
