Welcome to the World Famous Sink!

Celebrating 90 years as Boulders Oldest Bar and Restaurantin Boulder and the second oldest in the state, The Sink belongs to the millions of guests who have passed through the doors during our 90 year history. A C.U. and Boulder institution The Sink is a multi-generational gathering place for Univer-sity of Colorado students, alumni and Boulder residents. The Sink first opened in 1923 as Summer's Sunken Gardens.

The unique and timeless artwork that characterizes The Sink Restaurant and Bar were painted by Beatnik artist L"ll"oyd Kavich from 1950 to 1995 each and every. The trademark Sink Angel has been watching over guests of The Sink and the Boulder community the past 89 years.
