    Εὐλογηµένος ὁ ἐρχόµενος ἐν ὀνόµατιΚυρίου.

    God is the Lord, and He revealed Himselfto us. Blessed is he who comes in the name ofthe Lord. [SAAS]

    Στίχ. αʹ. Ἐξοµολογεῖσθε τῷ Κυρίῳ καὶἐπικαλεῖσθε τὸ ὄνοµα τὸ ἅγιον αὐτοῦ.

    Verse 1: Give thanks to the Lord and callupon His holy name.

    Looking up at the entrance to thesepulcher, and unable to endure the Angel'sradiance, the myrrh-bearing women weretrembling and said in astonishment: Has Hebeen stolen, who to the Robber opened upParadise? Has He arisen, who spoke of risingbefore even suffering? He is truly risen asChrist our God, granting those in Hades lifeand resurrection. [SD]

    Blessed are You, O Lord, teach me Yourstatutes.

    Τῶν Ἀγγέλων ὁ δῆµος, κατεπλάγη ὁρῶνσε, ἐν νεκροῖς λογισθέντα, τοῦ θανάτουδὲ Σωτήρ, τὴν ἰσχὺν καθελόντα, καὶ σὺνἑαυτῷ τὸν Ἀδὰµ ἐγείραντα, καὶ ἐξ ᾍδουπάντας ἐλευθερώσαντα.

    When the hosts of the Angels saw howYou were accounted among the dead, theyall marveled. You, O Savior, are the One whodestroyed the might of death; and when Youarose You raised Adam with yourself andfrom Hades liberated everyone. [SD]

    "Why do you mingle the ointments withyour tears full of pity, O women disciples?"Thus the Angel who was shining in the tombcried to the myrrh-bearing women. "See foryourselves the empty tomb and understand,that the Savior has risen from the sepulcher."[SD]

    Very early in the morning, the myrrh-bearing women were hastening to Your tomblamenting. But the Angel appeared to themand uttered, "The time for lamentation hasended; weep no more. Go announce theResurrection to the Apostles." [SD]

    When the myrrh-bearing women hadcome with their spices to Your sepulcher,O Savior, they heard the voice of an Angelclearly speaking to them, "Why do youaccount among the dead the One who lives?

    On the first day of the week, MaryMagdalene came to the tomb early, while itwas still dark, and saw that the stone hadbeen taken away from the tomb.     Νεανίσκοι καὶ παρθένοι, πρεσβύτεροι µετὰνεωτέρων· αἰνεσάτωσαν τὸ ὄνοµα Κυρίου, ὅτι ὑψώθητὸ ὄνοµα αὐτοῦ µόνου.

    Young men and maidens, elders with younger,let them praise the Lord's name, for His name alone isexalted.

    Ἡ ἐξοµολόγησις αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ γῆς καὶ οὐρανοῦ. καὶὑψώσει κέρας λαοῦ αὐτοῦ.

    His thanksgiving is in earth and heaven. And Heshall exalt the horn of His people.
