Out of the breeze, the white linesOut of the glaring yellow sunOut of the fog you crawlTumbling, crashing, falling upon the surfaceOut of the deep blue seaOf the New Hampshire coast line, seen froma passing carOut of the mind set, the temptation growsTumbling, crashing, falling upon the surfaceFrom the opposite side, your structure buildsFree to fall or choose its pathDropping and corralling anything in your pathTumbling, crashing, falling upon the surfaceFrom the smooth or rough plainYou merge and come to emergeFrom flat comes a crest a building wall of waterand taking on its path to landTumbling, crashing, falling upon the surfaceFrom the surface of my fingertips to aching of my toesFrom all my inner desire, you grow withinmeAnd all that was crashing on the oceans surfaceis now burning inside and breaking upon meTumbling crashing, collapsing on me

Glide, Snap, Big Cutback

The culture, The experience

Standing still, hiding from the brightrays of light from the yellow giant

Seemingly secure within a treasure hidden in Mexico

A fountain of liquid, making everything look dryTo the eye, a gated hotel stands

alone, off to the side, out of the communityAdam, with dreams of going out at night

Ryan, enjoying his first touch of this land never before seenGreen, White, Blue

The pristine ocean blows like a fan ontothe shore

where the excited tourists await their next destination

As the flower pot bakes in the daylight driven from the sky

Warm temperatures and cool breeze, making a perfect

setting for a crumpled up Northeast AmericanVisiting in shorts and sandals

Pale skin soaks in each beam of light …

…Patiently waiting, nighttime arrivesthe fun begins after a 15 minute driveRosarito, a place of fun and laughter

The gas and fumes from automobiles and transportation of every kind

Busy restaurants, fun is in the airThe spirits run high, chatter becomes loudAs time moves on, the body slows down

The 15 minute drive seemsto be long and drawn out

Back to our cradles where we rest sleeping like babies among each waves breath

A new day rises, the enthusiasm is greatWith each day passing, tourists become aware

they are alert to the surroundingsnoticed by the culture and swept in

by the umbrella of Puerto Nuevo, Mexico

One Summer DayThis I observed on a hot summer daysun shining on the brightly light ocean

an array of colors outlined the sunset atnight

the dogs on the beach full ofenergy and excitement

and this I found on a summer daya shell caught my eye, standing alone

on the sanda flash of green in a plentiful marsh field wherea blue heron awaits its next opportunity to soar

And this I tried to understandas I scraped off wax on my old surfboard

the movement of water among this beautiful planetand a seagull whines as his food is

scurrying away to safety

The Mallard Duck

They swim with their tail held above the waterPaddling along with

sufficient feetWhen on land

All they do is waddleSmooth, alarming, sly

When I was a child I fed them all the time

Picking crumbs off the green blades of grass

Near the pond where they quacked away

After work I would visit everyday

That was the year thatI had two Mallards

Come to feed, then sit in the back yard

Wherever found, these ducks may fly

The Mallard is an animal that catches my eye

If you want to get to Rye, New HampshireIf you want to get to Rye, New HampshireCruise east on scenic 101, get offexit 111, travel past the Rye Beach Club the laughter and joyPast a New Hampshire State Beach which is always packedin the sun, where the surf pounded during the long winter stormsNext to the lonesome houses and down on the brisk cold sandThere where the white, odd shaped house is being builtAnd the hard workers who construct so diligently and continuously While they hammer and drill, screw and buildTake a left at the corner of Wallis and Ocean BlvdPast the elderly enjoying the weather and their daily journey to the beach Patiently waiting, for the next morning, to walk and enjoy the salty ocean scentSlow down, relax, take in a breath of air Imagine the excitement of summer, and tourists with the beach on their mindsIf you want to get to Rye, New HampshireThink of the sounds of the ocean, waves, and gullsThink of the beach houses and the New England lobster shacksThink of a walk in the sand, leaving only footprints and memories behind

From the ocean side

My little companion, driving upon sea shells combined to create a dune buggy

Your rough jagged touch outlinedwith the edges that are sharp

The looks of you remind me of the beach and sandLast night I saw you

stopped, and quietly viewed the confusion in your eyesThe craft of your appearance is what troubles my mind

Weeks ago I moved you as if you weredriving yourself across the beaches sand

Years ago your brown, purple, and tan colors struckmy attention, where you were nestled in a store

In Florida, Covered up for protection, those fragile shells and eyesThroughout my journey I did not intend to buy such a souvenir like you

I have to dust your smooth blue wheels offI have to shift you frequently to ensure your
