Seabreeze Residents’ Association Newsletter
THE SEABREEZER
May 2017
From the desk of the President...
Hello everyone,Well, gosh darn it the season has come to an end. I don't know about you but it sure seemed to go by quickly
this year.We had some good times and some very sad times but all in all it was a season where we began to see some
changes in the park. We had an entertainment committee that brought us some top shelf entertainment. We had a board that worked towards improving things around the park. We got new roads from the city !!! That will mean no potholes next year.
So it was a good year and I hope that things continue to improve next year as well. Community participation is increasing and I hope to see that trend continue as well.
Before I say goodbye for the summer I wanted to mention one last thing. Nalman Electric will be retiring their business this fall and as such the park cable will be discontinued. Management has signed an agreement with BrightHouse/Spectrum to become the provider of both cable television and internet in both parks. Now there is no timeline and as yet there is no pricing structure. All we know and all the office knows is that it will be happening this fall. It will involve some replacing of cable infrastructure so you can expect to see some crews laying cable. As more information becomes available I will make sure that it is passed on to you all.
So it's time to point the car north. I want to thank all of the community for your support of the board and myself. I will be back around the first of October. I hope all of you have a safe and healthy summer and I look forward to seeing you all this fall.
Best regards,
Scott

Happy Mother's Day Mother's Day is a celebration honoring the mother
of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March or May.
Mother's Day is celebrated to honor all mothers and to express gratitude for the hardships they bear in bringing up a child. Most countries including US, Australia, Canada and India celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May. Mother's Day came into being due to the efforts made by Ms. Julia Ward Howe and Ms. Anna Jarvis. The Resolution for having a dedicated Mother's Day was signed by US President Woodrow Wilson on May 8, 1914. Since then people across the world have been celebrating Mother's Day with joy and devotion.
On Mother's Day, pay your most humble tribute to Mother! Mothers are everything for us when we are small...our lives revolve around her. For everything that we need we call mother. To protect us from all
perceivable dangers we want her around us to take us out we hold her arms. To kiss away our
wounds we run to her. And for a warm hug and love we look for her. She is the focal point of our lives, the greatest human being in the world or should we say divinity on earth. On the special occasion of Mother's Day pay tribute to your mother - the greatest blessing of God on you.

Not All Roofers Are Created Equal! When choosing a business to do work on your home it is important to consider all the factors. Sometimes the cheapest option is not the best. Keep these tips in mind the next time you choose a service provider, especially a roofer.
How Many Years in Business? This demonstrates expertise in the field. If a warranty is involved it shows the company’s ability to stand behind it. If a company has been around for a long time, it is probably for a good reason.
Is There a Physical Location or Just a PO Box?We would not suggest you do business with someone who only has a PO Box as an address. This could indicate that they are not an established business.
Who is Doing the Actual Work? Are They Licensed & Insured?Does the company use subcontractors or their own employees? Employees tend to me more reliable because the business owner holds them accountable day-to-day versus subcontractors who can come and go. Verify the company is a licensed roofer and properly insured for any circumstances.
Consider More Than The Price!A roof is a durable product meant to last for years. When it comes to durable goods for your home like roofs, air conditioners, windows, etc. who installs them can be an important factor. Remember the old adage “Good work isn’t cheap...Cheap work isn’t good...”

History NoteLong before florists and card companies took center
stage on Mother’s Day, the holiday wasn’t about gift giving or really even about moms. In fact, according to the History of Mother's Day, the holiday’s founder actively fought to have it stricken from the U.S. calendar forever after consumerism took over.
