"I'm going to Miami." That was
the chorus line for one
of WillSmith's songs, but it
doesn't apply to me because I
have already been there.
And if you haven't, you
definitely should take a visit,
because there is no place in
the world like the South
Beach of Miami.
Miami is one of the state's – and the world’s – most popular vacation spots. Though destinations often are said to offer something for everyone, the Miami area offers multiple enticements for everyone: The trendy nightlife of South Beach, bejeweled by the eye candy of the Art Deco district. The bustle of Calle Ocho and the highly caffeinated energy of Little Havana.
The plush hotels of Miami Beach and the historic hideaways of Coral Gables. Seemingly endless shopping opportunities in modern, sprawling malls and the quiet, personal attention
The lures of deep-sea fishing and golf and tennis. Major league football, basketball, hockey and baseball. Boat shows and auto racing. Art festivals and outdoor food and wine extravaganzas. An international airport and the world’s busiest cruise port. The Miami area offers all of this – and so much more… - visitflorida.com
offered by the family-owned shops of Coconut Grove and many other corners of the region.
This concept hybrid 2+2 coupe is designed to
push the limits of style, performance and
technology. It combines sweeping lines with
dynamic angles to create a sleek silhouette
wrapped around a driver-focused interior.

As Jenson said:
“I don't purposely speed, but I might go over by five or
six miles an hour from time to time. It doesn't give me
a buzz driving on normal roads, because I can't go fast
enough. It's never going to be anything like an F1 car.”

Secret to Success – Rob Dahm
Rob Dahm went from mowing
lawns to fixing neighbors
computers and ultimately built
up a 7 figure empire with
Computer Works, Inc. by
providing IT solutions and
managed services for small
businesses. Although Rob is fairly
well known in the online
community for his Youtube
videos, he was also featured on a
national TV show. The TV show
never worked out but it had no
impact on his standing. In his
story, Rob discusses how a little
bit of risk, being realistic, and
passionate are the keys to his
success at the young age of 29.
What does Rob Dahm do?
I started Computer Works when I
was 16 unofficially by fixing
neighbors’ computers and
looking back, I was probably
doing more damage to some of
those computers than I was
doing good but I was solving
their problems. The moment I
turned 18, I signed a rental for a
little 500-square foot office
space and had no idea how I was
going to pay for it. It was $500 a
month and at that time, that was
huge money and I said, “You
know what, I’m going to be able
to do this.”
What does a small little town
like yours think of you and
your bright yellow Diablo?
Ever since I bought that Lamborghini, that has been probably the best purchase I’ve ever made in
my life. It validates my second grade dream of owning a Lamborghini because it’s going for what
you want. It rubs off on other people and I’ve had two different clients at a client meeting, they
were like, “We’re going with you because you own a Lamborghini so you know what you’re
doing.” That has been a very rewarding experience altogether.
Some of the things I’ve been focusing on lately is when you buy a car like that, people love to
relate to you but then some just want to see you fail. I have a lot of friends or acquaintances that
didn’t like that big jump in my life that put myself in a different category in a lot of respects so I
did actually lose quite a few friends over that one.
• Rich playboys eager for some spirited
supercar driving in the United Arab Emirate
of Dubai might want to reconsider pushing
their expensive automotive toys into triple
digit speeds. The Dubai police are well-
equipped to catch up. Already famous for
having Ferrari and Lamborghini police cars,
Dubai recently added a few more supercars
to its fleet, including an Aston Martin One-
77, a Mercedes-Benz SLS and a Bentley
Continental GT. Officers who drive the cars
have to receive special training to learn how
to handle them safely. (The Kjaleej Times)
• Texas is truck country, and Chevrolet has
announced that it will offer a Texas Edition of
the 2014 Silverado. It won’t be the first Texas-
themed truck from Chevy, but in a state where
truck sales are as much a cultural
phenomenon as an economic one, the line
makes sense. Very similar to the Custom Sport
model that will be available in other states,
the Texas Edition Silverado will include special
badging, 20-inch wheels, body-colored mirrors
and door handles, a tow package and a locking
rear differential. But wearing Lone Star
badging comes at a price: about $2,000, give
or take, depending upon the base trim level of
the truck that’s being Tex-
ified.(Pickuptrucks.com)
• Subaru is making a move to increase production
at its Lafayette, Ind., plant. After five straight years
of record sales in America, the Japanese
automaker invested $400 million into the plant to
expand production from 200,000 to a planned
300,000 vehicles per year. The company said it
would need to hire 900 workers to build Imprezas.
The expansion is expected to begin producing
more cars by 2016. (Automotive News)
• The name Dean Jeffries may not be all
that familiar, but many people will recall
the flamboyantly customized 1966
Pontiac GTO the Monkees drove on
their television show. Jeffries, who built
and painted the Monkeemobile and a
lot of other custom cars, died Sunday at
the age of 80. Along with stunt driving in
several movies, Mr. Jeffries’ credits
include the first Shelby Cobra paint job,
the script on James Dean’s Porsche 550
Spyder, the customized Chrysler
Imperial from the “Green Hornet”
television series and a number of dune
buggies and concept cars. (Hemmings)

The latest Supercar Event in Britain is set to
kick off on Saturday the 15th of June and will
play host to a selection of supercars while

holders to drool over a selection of insane
supercars while also offering passenger rides
in the event’s most potent machinery.
The event will take place at Dunsfold Park,
better known as the home of the Top Gear
Test Track and will run through the weekend
of the 15th of June.
During the event, over 500 sports cars
and classic cars will be on display with
some of the confirmed modern day
supercars including a Lexus LFA,

Koenigsegg or two.

providing rehab to children with
acquired bran injuries.
The Genius of
Tesla
Batteries aren’t good enough, charging stations are too
far apart, and there aren’t enough mechanics and
dealers. Tesla is trying to create this infrastructure by
itself, which means everything’s moving more slowly
than it could. If the entire car business worked together
to improve this stuff, batteries and charging
infrastructure would improve at a faster pace.
So, there you go: Tesla wants
to be just like Apple. That’s
not a bad goal—Apple has
done quite well for itself. But
what few in the tech press
have noticed is that Musk
seems to have another tech
titan in mind: Google. Musk
knows that there’s a single,
towering problem in the
electric car business: a lack of
infrastructure.
