WHO'S WHO IN OUR CAST

LARRY HAYES - (TONY) A native Californian and a senior atSJSU, majoring in Natural Science, Larry makes his secondappearance with WVLO. He was last seen on our stage as JohnTruitt in "Meet Me In St. Louis". His long list of theatrical creditsincludes Starkey in "Peter Pan", Curly in "Oklahoma!", Frank Butlerin "Annie Get Your Gun", Gaston in "Beauty & The Beast", andYoung Joe Hardy in "Damn Yankees". Larry's hobbies arerollerblading, computers, and reading, not necessarily in that orderand his ambition is to be an elementary school teacher. It is always L- .....l

a pleasure to listen to Larry crooning our tunes.

LAURA BENITEZ - (MARIA) Laura makes her debut with WVLO,but is no stranger to the stage. An incoming Senior at LincolnHigh School, she has appeared in six of their productions, mostrecently in the role of Cinderella in Lincoln's award- winning musi-cal, "Into The Woods", for which she was nominated as best sup-porting actress. She played Widow Corney in "Oliver" and alsoportrayed Maria in SJCMT's production of "West Side Story". Sheis a member of Lincoln's jazz choir, the Drama Tour Group, and theInternational Thespian Society. With writing as her hobby, her 4

years of voice training, 5 years of jazz dance classes, and 2 years of high schooldrama, it is no wonder she aspires to be an actress/singer/ writer and we feel shehas the ability and talents to succeed.

PATTY REINHART - (ANITA) Patty last appeared on our stage as ...---------,a can-can dancer in "The Merry Widow", and we are delighted tohave her back in the role that won an Oscar for Rita Moreno inthe film version. Patty graduated from UCLA with a BA in TheatreArts and a multiple subject teaching credential. She met Bob, herhusband, at UCLA and moved here 4 years ago when he trans-ferred to IBM's San Jose plant. Originally from EI Salvador, she'slived most of her life in California. She most recently appeared in"Man of La Mancha" with SJCLO and is a dance instructor forDancekids. Her ambition is to obtain her equity card to perform professionally. Whenshe makes it, we can say we knew her when ... ! In the meantime, we hope she willcome back and share her versatility and talents with us again.

WHO'S WHO IN OUR CAST

FRANCO BERARDI - (RIFF) Franco makes his debut with WVLOin this production even though he has played Tony in "West SideStory" before. He has extensive training in acting, voice and danceand most recently portrayed the role of Jesus in "Godspell". Hisother credits include the roles of Albert in "Bye, Bye Birdie", EwartDunlop in "Music Man", Production Tenor in "Singin' In The Rain"and Montague in "Romeo & Juliet". He works as a Technician forRiverview Systems Group, Inc. and his hobby is designing sets &lights for theater. His ultimate goal is to obtain his degree in

Performing Arts. "A Boy Like That" oughta make it!

GWYNN VILLEGAS - (BERNARDO) This marks Gwynn's debutwith WVLO also, but he's very familiar with the show for he por-trayed Luis in UC Berkeley's production of "West Side Story" whilehe was earning his BA in Exercise Physiology. His major came inhandy for he is a Conditioning Trainer for the Advantage MedicalGroup lnt. and hopes to someday own his own gym while pursuinghis acting career. His credits list several major roles both in highschool and UC Berkeley including "Gypsy", "Merrily We Roll Along","Brigadoon", "Pippin", 'The Music Man" and "Guys & Dolls". Last '----'--year Gwynn won 3 gold and 2 silver medals in the Track & Field events at the UnityGames in New York, so no wonder he loves those events as well as weight lifting, snow skiing, traveling and wine tasting. How does wine tasting fit in with all that "fit-ness" stuff anyway? We just hope he doesn't wander too far away so Gwynn canreturn to perform with us again.

AMELIA NELSON - (ANYBODYS) Another first timer with WVLO,Amelia most recently appeared in "Joseph & The AmazingTechnicolor Dreamcoat" with PCS and in "Annie Get Your Gun"with PMT. She has studied voice for one year, piano for five yearsand has been performing Shakespeare for eight years. She hasthe unique distinction of having appeared on a Broadway stagewith her father when she was just two years old and has the greatdesire to return to Broadway, after she gets a college education, that is. Babysitting is her hobby so she fit right in to this role!
