SUPERVISOR OF POLITICAL FINANCINGIn accordance with subsection 35(2) of the Political ProcessFinancing Act, the annual allowance of $34,049 payable to theNew Brunswick New Democratic Party for the calendar year of2007 was withheld throughout 2007 and 2008. Of this amount,$17,025 was paid in the calendar year of 2009, leaving a bal-ance of $17,024 owing at December 31, 2009. Of the annual al-lowance of $34,049 payable to the Party for the calendar year of2008, the amount of $8,512 was withheld throughout 2008 and2009. In February, 2010, Elections New Brunswick paid to theParty the amounts of $17,024 and $8,512 owed at December 31,2009.In accordance with section 36 of the Political Process Financ-ing Act [2009], the annual allowances paid to registered politi-cal parties for the calendar year 2009 were as follows:

• Progressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick $314,986

• New Brunswick Liberal Association $312,965• New Brunswick New Democratic

Party $34,049

Pursuant to An Act to Amend the Political Process FinancingAct [2009, c. 55], annual allowances payable to qualifying reg-istered political parties are now payable on a fiscal-year basisrather than a calendar-year basis. “Fiscal year” means the periodcommencing on April 1 in one year and ending on March 31 inthe next year.

As a transitional provision, in accordance with subsection 19(1)of An Act to Amend the Political Process Financing Act [2009,c. 55], the annual allowances payable to registered political par-ties for the quarterly period ending on March 31, 2010, are asfollows:

In accordance with section 32.01 of the Political ProcessFinancing Act [2010], the annual allowance payable to each ofthe registered political parties for the fiscal year 2010-11 are asfollows:

CONTRÔLEUR DU FINANCEMENT POLITIQUESelon le paragraphe 35(2) de la Loi sur le financement de l’ac-tivité politique, l’allocation annuelle de 34 049 $ payable auNouveau parti démocratique du Nouveau-Brunswick pour l’an-née civile 2007 a été retenue en 2007 et 2008.
