This Week’s Program: Adrian Padilla, Construction Engineer - How to Build a Bridge

Adrian Padilla is a Construction Engineer for Flatiron Constructors currently working on the Ruskin Dam Generating Station Upgrade in Mission, British Columbia. Adrian has more than 9 years of experience in construction management and 5 years in manufacturing. He began his career with Flatiron as a field engineer working on the award winning 4th Street Bridge in Pueblo, Colorado. Adrian then worked on the Port Mann Bridge in Vancouver, British Columbia where he served as a Project Engineer and Superintendent. Adrian’s experience includes: Cast-in-place segmental, pre-cast segmental, balanced-cantilever construction, post-tensioning, and mass concrete.

Adrian has been married four years to his wife Hilary Rehfeld. They have a two year old daughter, Caroline and a one month old son, Evan. They currently live in Lynden, Washington.

Adrian has a B.S. in Construction Management from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

[August 11, 2015 marked] a significant milestone for Africa in its effort to eradicate polio from the continent. A full year has passed since Africa’s last reported case caused by the wild poliovirus.
