IT WILL BE TIME FOR ST. ANN’S CHRISTMAS PAGEANT
before we know it. Last year we held our pageant the
weekend before Christmas and it seemed to work out for
everyone. This year we are in need of someone to
organize and direct our pageant. If you think you can help
us with this, please call the church office right away, 637-
0157. There isn’t as much time left as you think!
St. Ann will hold a Public Square
Rosary, on Saturday, Oct. 14th at noon,
outside the church in front of our Grotto.
(If inclement weather, we will hold the
event inside the church). Plan to join us
as we pray for our country as well as
celebrate the 100-Year Anniversary of
Our Lady’s Fatima apparitions.
There will be no coffee hour following the
9:45 Mass this weekend. We will resume
coffee hour next weekend at the usual time.
Apple Squeeze 2017
Family & Life Community Outreach Commission thanks
our amazing bakers and volunteers for supporting St.
Ann’s presence at Lenox Apple Squeeze Festival 2017.
This year we had less bakers and offerings than in past,
years, with $415 as a total take, again, much less than
previous years. We were in a different location, this time
on Church Street, but we still sold out all of the delicious
bake goods!
So, many thanks to those faithful Apple Squeeze Angels!
Paula Aucoin, Kate McNulty, Mike & Sherry Wilser,
Barbara Bilyeu, Courtney & Andrew Meisberger, Felicity
McClenachan, Suzanne Malkin, Carol Kirby, Karen
Jacobs, Kaye Gallagher, Nancy Considine, Maryellen
Tremblay, Deb Kuni, Joe Healy and Kathy McMahon.
A special thank you to Jamie Trie, Marketing Director of
Lenox Chamber of Commerce, for her support and
guidance, with a very successful Apple Squeeze event.

Springfield. Families are also invited to attend. A
brief march and procession into the Cathedral will
precede Mass. Attending officers and personnel are

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
It's that time again -- and this year, more than ever,
our Christmas shoeboxes are needed to provide a ray of

our universe.
We ask all the parishioners and CCD students of St.
Ann, St. Vincent de Paul and St. Patrick to join in the
support of our Christmas shoebox project. More details

Rachel’s Vineyard Retreats
A Rachel’s Vineyard weekend retreat is an opportunity
for any woman, man, couple, grandparent or sibling who
struggles with the emotional or spiritual pain of
abortion. This powerful experience allows the soul to
speak its sorrow, as participants enter the grieving process,
identify effects the abortion had and release deep feelings
of anger, shame, and guilt that frequently accompany an
abortion experience.
This unique retreat process is designed specifically to
help retreatants experience the gentleness, mercy,
compassion, and the unconditional love of Jesus as they
walk through the journey to forgiveness.
The next Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat will be held in
Stockbridge, MA on the weekend of Nov. 3-5th. For more
information or to register for a weekend call 413-452-
0661. You may also call Suzanne @ 203-417-0504. All
calls are confidential.
500th Commemoration of The Reformation to be
Marked With Joint Lutheran/Catholic Prayer Service
And Community Action.
Five hundred years after the start of the Reformation,
local Catholics and Lutherans, joined by members of the
extended interfaith community, will gather together to mark
this pivotal moment in history, along with celebrating the
last 50 years of positive Lutheran/Catholic dialogue.
As a sign of the growing ties between these faith
communities, a joint Lutheran-Catholic prayer service led
by Springfield Roman Catholic Bishop Mitchell T.
Rozanski and Pastor Lauren Holm of the Bethesda Lutheran
Church in Springfield will be held to commemorate the
Reformation on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. at St. Michael’s
Cathedral in Springfield. Following the prayer service, all
participants will be invited to the adjoining Bishop Marshall
Center to help prepare food packages for the homeless.
Bishop Rozanski cordially invites all to take part in this
gathering. You can read more in the upcoming edition
of The Catholic Mirror.
