THANK YOU WOODLEY
Thank you immensely for the leaving Mass and celebra-
tion which we had last Saturday. Thank you to the organizers for all the hard work they put in, and those
who attended. Thank you for all your donations towards sponsoring a seminarian in Bamenda. I could not have wished for better neighbours these years: stopping by,
smiling, greeting, and signing for parcels when there is no one in the office, and gladly delivering them as soon as the office opens... Thank you so much! I could not have wished for a better park to take walks, enjoy the scenery
and pray. Woodford Park is a safe, lovely and open space which I have enjoyed and where I have often found warm and friendly people: greeting, smiling and looking out for
each other. Thank you to the birds and animals which have always filled me with sweet sounds and smiles, lift-ing my spirits and teaching me serenity, joy and peace.
Thank you to the paths and roads on which I have walked all these years and which I have taken for granted. Where would I have stood without Mother Earth? Thank you to the air I have breathed all these years, without a word of
gratitude. Thank you to the water which has quenched my thirst, and rid my dresses and dishes of dirt. Thank you to
electricity which has powered my machines, and given me light and heat. And thank you to the shops where I
have often stopped to get fruits, food, and drinks…..As I fly to Bamenda, Cameroon, on 1st August, my three last
words are:
THANK YOU WOODLEY! (Fr. Bon).
Responsorial Psalm: 17th Sunday of Ordinary Time
