T – Transfer of knowledge
E – Enlightenment
A – Aligning with portion and real life
C – Character building
H – Healing touch offer
I – involvement with the student in studies
N – Nurturing the thoughts into reality
G – Giving a final shape
It is difficult to give general descriptions of good teachers.
Because…
• Successful • Extrovert / Introvert
• But a lot will depend on how view their teachers
What is a good teacher?
People who has an affinity for the job. Others do not have that natural gift.

• Teacher play many roles in the process of education his role is not only limitted to school but also to other sphers such as performing of other duties given by the government or administeration from time to time.

DEFINITION OF ROLE
• The part played by somebody in a given social context, with any characteristic or expected pattern of behavior that it entails.

TEACHER IN ROLE
• Teacher in role is a method of teaching that utilizes techniques of drama to facilitate education. It is a holistic method designed to integrate critical thought, examination of emotion and moral values and factual data to broaden learning.

• There are two basic set of roles to fulfill. One set corresponds with the major functions of instruction, socialization, and evaluation. The second set is concerned with motivating pupils, maintaining control, and generally creating an environment for learning.'

Activity is leading from the front. They take registers, tell students things and
read aloud. It is the most common teacher role. It exemplifies the qualities of a teacher-
fronted classroom.

into different stages:LEAD IN: Introduction of the activity. The
hook.INDTRUCT: Rubrics: make sure the students
have understood. Model the activity.

Assessor There are two types
off assessment:correction & organising
feedback.
During accurate reproduction stage correction is essential.
During the stage of immediate creativity gentle correction is needed.

Organising Feedback:a) Content Feedback: Assessment of how well
students have performed a TASK (e.g. role-play).b) Form Feedback: It tells students how well they
have performed linguistically; how accurate they have been.
Ways of recording errors and organising feedback:
c) Pen and paper: vocabulary, pronunciation, style, appropriacy.
d) Tape-recorder.e) Video.f) Feedback also means telling students what went
right.
Encourage students / Creativity. Teachers need to do it sensitively
and encouragingly.

Teachers stand back from the activity and they let their learners to get on with it.

• To sum up, teachers wear many hats: friend, counselor, judge, mentor--hundreds of roles and different roles for different classes, students, and extra curricular duties.
• Student- like a child is a clean slate teacher can make what he want of him.
