A Growing ProblemThe U.S. Department of Justice report: Extent, Nature, and Consequences of Intimate Partner Violence, reported that there are over 1.5 millionreported cases of domestic violence reported annually in the United States. Many domestic violence victims often times lack the proper resources to regain financial independence to support themselves and their families when they leave abusive relationships.
