The Ritz-Carlton Club, Aspen Highlands Winter 2015/2016

I would like to take this opportunity to extendyou a warm welcome back to your home Club.

The last of the beautiful autumn leaves havefallen, the pumpkin spice latte season haspassed and the first snowfall of the season hasarrived transforming Aspen into a winterwonderland again. As the hype continues tobuild around this winter's weather, local newsmeteorologists still believe the El Niño cyclepredicts an above average amount ofprecipitation. Historically the last two verystrong El Niño years were 1982-1983 and1997-1998. The 1982-1983 winter was the sixthrecorded snowiest based on data collectedsince 1979. So, what does that mean for thelocal mountains? According to a variety of localsources, that could mean Snowmageddon orSnowpocalypse storms and conditions reachingGodzilla levels brought to Colorado's ski resorts.Whatever it will be, it sure makes for greatconversation!

Winter in Aspen is not just all about thesnowstorms and freezing cold temperatures forskier and snowboarder enthusiasts. There aremany other winter activities that are great fun toexperience with friends and family off the slopessuch as Ullr nights and tubing at Elk Camp andsnow cat adventures around the valley.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,Everyone is excited about the Cloud 9 Bistrorenovation which is on target for re-openingmid-December. A huge renovation has takenplace rebuilding the kitchen, bathrooms andother infrastructure elements.

The Caffé Siena refurbishment is complete. Thenew design offers added seating, new lightingand a more appealing layout particularlybenefiting higher usage on Mondays andTuesdays when Willow Creek Bistro is closed.Be sure to stop by on your next visit!

Back by popular demand again for this winter,First Tracks Ski with the Managers weeklyactivity which is scheduled every Wednesdaymeeting at 7.45 a.m. meeting in Elkhorn Lodge.Please see the Member Experience ConciergeTeam for sign up as space is limited.

Club News:The Club hosted the Annual Meeting of Aspen HighlandsCondominium Association, Inc. on Saturday, October 10,2015. Financial successes of the Club were highlighted forboth Caffé Siena and Willow Creek Bistro reportingincreased revenues over 2014. For 2016 we aspire toexceed that sales growth as we evolve menu ideas,combine good value and bold tastes along withcommitment to quality and consistency for a variety offood and beverage options that our Members and guestshave come to expect.

Willow Creek Bistro is now open for breakfast, lunch anddinner, Wednesday through Sunday, during the winterseason. Chef Matt, Restaurant Manager Emily Nolan andtheir teams are ready to welcome you noting your uniquedining preferences and providing swift service withdecadent comfort food. We encourage you to advocateyour Member loyalty towards the food and beverageoptions within the Club as it is such a pleasure for ourLadies and Gentlemen to see returning Members enjoy themenu items created with your tastes in mind blending localingredients. Furthermore, Willow Creek Bistro hasoutperformed sales for last year, a trend everyone wouldlike to see continue. There is the addition of new patiofurniture this year so come on in and make yourselvescomfortable!!!

Congratulations to Randal Mercer and Tyler Oliver on theirre-election to the Tourist Accommodation Board ofDirectors as President and Vice-President respectively, andto Scott Adams on his election as Commercial Director. Iwould like to personally extend thanks and recognition toall the Board Members for their tireless service andcontributions this last year and I look forward to continuingour positive working relationship together.

The Member Services Team would like to provideimportant reminders to keep in mind when securing time inyour home Club. Reserved allocations are automaticallyreserved during the 16 month period. Unreservedallocations are unassigned until requested during the 15month period for a particular time. All exchanges at yourhome Club, either for the same or alternate season, shouldbe deposited as far in advance as possible for the bestchance of confirmation. Housekeeping Reminders:As a friendly reminder, we ask that you adhere to thecheck-in and check-out times of 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.respectively. The Club's Operational Teams collectivelycommunicate very closely to ensure your residence isexactly how it should be according to your preferences.Delayed checkouts significantly hinder our ability toprepare a residence for your fellow Member's incomingstay. We make every effort to accommodate requestshowever during the winter and summer seasons, optionsmay be limited.

Off Season C.A.R.E.:To make sure every residence is in perfect working order,our Engineering and Housekeeping departments conductoff-season C.A.R.E. (Cleaning and Repairing Everything).During the past off season, the teams conductedinspections of all items in the residence from utensils in thekitchen to moving heavy furniture for dusting. Also, thehousemen completed leather conditioning of the sofas ineach residence, a full shampoo of all carpets and a polish ofmarble in the public areas including the lobby, spa andelevators. The Engineering Team facilitated their C.A.R.E.program of all units including wood and paint touch ups aswell as full functional testing of all in residence systems.The fire panels were replaced in Buildings 2 and 4. Elkhornsteam room was remodeled and two new massage tableswere added at the spa.
