Big projects need big solutions – like exhibition hall 11 in Frankfurt, Germany. To create a pleasant climate for visitors in an area of 24,000 square metres, the system has to provide constant pressure and circu-late cooling water at around 900 m3/h, so that the steadily fluctuating demand for heating can be reliably controlled. KSB has therefore installed a perfectly

matched system comprising more than

130 variable speed Etanorm® R/G,

Etaline® PumpDrive, Rio®-Eco pumps

with their matching valves to ensure

that heating is evenly distributed.

In addition, the Hyamat® VP pressure

booster system provides the water spray

system with constant pressure of 20 bar

and thus increases the cooling capacity

without the need for additional energy.

We make big projects worldwide a

Calio S Don’t need much power? Calio’s little brother, Calio S, has

the answer. Continuously variable differential pressure control

adapts the pump’s power in line with demand. Calio S runs

quietly, energy-efficiently and reliably for years and years.

Maximum savings with FluidFuture®

A system’s quality is not only determined by its products but also

by its energy efficiency. In these times of rising energy prices,

saving energy costs during operation has become a key criterion

for selecting and installing systems. We make full use of a system’s

energy saving potential by employing the five modules of

FluidFuture® – KSB’s energy efficiency concept. We analyse the

entire hydraulic system and optimise it with high-efficiency

products and demand-driven operating modes which perfectly

match the specific requirements of each system.

The ErP ecodesign regulations

FluidFuture® is based on products which are not only reliable

but also highly efficient to counter the continuous rise of the

global energy consumption of “Energy-related Products” –

products with high energy requirements. The ErP regulations

stipulate mandatory minimum efficiency levels, which will

gradually be increased until 2020. The objectives:

■n 20 % fewer greenhouse gases

■n 20 % more renewable energies

■n 20% less energy consumption

Our response to these high requirements: expertise and years of

experience. The outcome: highly efficient products which meet or

even exceed the minimum efficiency levels for 2015, already today.

For glandless pumps, the following values apply:

EEI (energy efficiency index):

low value = high efficiency

From 1 January 2013: EEI ≤ 0.27
