THE RESTORING FORCE
TRF (The Restoring Force)
Since April 2001, TRF (The Restoring Force) is a registered Non Governmental Organization (NGO) that independently works in the rural India touching the lives of the poor, lighting their homes and doing work in the area of education and vocational training.
PHASE 1 (The past) 2001-2009 Focus education & Vocational training
TRF Mission Phase-1
To make a difference in the lives of our people, who do not have access to the opportunities in our country
1) The number of girl students increased from 8% to 50% 2) Results improved from 35% students passing to 95-100%
How did the program impact the poor
Objectives for Phase 1 were:
1. To improve the quality of education and provide modern means of learning
2. To provide basic facilities in schools and give
the students a clean & healthy environment 3. To help children in villages identify their
interest and guide them choose a career
Projects undertaken by TRF
Following projects have been undertaken and successfully completed by TRF:
Daulatabad Senior Secondary School, Gurgaon Nani ka Kuan - Jaipur Tents for earthquake victims in Bhuj Development of water filter for flood affected
areas
Community Radio
Gurgaon Ki Awaaz addresses the needs of the hundreds of villages, semi-urban clusters, and urban slums that fall within a 10-km radius around Udyog Vihar, stretching to Dhankot in the south, Sultanpur in the west, and Sohna in the east. The reach: • Villagers living in and around Gurgaon • Schoolchildren in all government schools in the 15-km
radius footprint area. • Migrant workers from Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa,
Uttar Pradesh and other parts of Haryana, and their families
Community Radio
It aims at a two-way process of communication. • FROM doctors, educators, NGOs, companies,
individuals and the administration TO a vast rural, semi-urban and slum community living and working in and around Gurgaon.
• FROM women, children, youth and adolescents belonging to this rural migrant community TO their own community, and to the world at large.
• Their voices, their stories, their songs, their questions, their concerns.

TRF Solar Projects
TRF has lit up Seven villages so far:
Munj Ka Pura (Beyond Kota) Beed Pinar Pura (55 km Beyond Jaipur) Sapera Basti Thali Ki Dhani Dadanpura Dhani Kanjra Ki Dhani (Garuda Vasi) Bheriya Village (Bulandsahar)
What does Sujala do?
• It provides light for 10 hours every day

How we do it ?

Uniform Distribution in Uttrakhand
In year 2013-14, TRF decided to provide school uniforms to needy school students those come from weaker section of society studying at “Divya Bharat Siksha Mandir” also called as “Vande Matram Kunj” with support from GRUNER. Two Pair of shirts & Trousers, one Sweater & one pair of shoes have been provided to almost all students.

Schools for children of Brick Kiln workers in Chaksu…
TRF is currently supporting 6 non-formal schools for brick kiln workers in Chaksu block outside Jaipur .
The schools provide on-site education to children and are run by Kumarrappa Institute of Gram Swaraj with support from TRF.
These children, all of whom home migrated from UP, Bihar & Madhya Pradesh are first leaners from among the poorest families in India working in some of harshest, driest landscapes.
The non formal schools are working towards giving these children a chance to get out of poverty and illiteracy.
