In 2011-2012 OIE experts did three missions in Kazakhstan,
in particular for study existing system of veterinary service.
THE TWINNING LAB PROGRAM
Under the Agreement, the OIE provides technical and methodological assistance cooperation program «Twinninglab», The aim is to receive for our National Reference Center for Veterinary Medicine the status of OIE reference laboratory on Brucellosis for whole Central Asian region.
The main stages of this project is to study in 2014-2015 laboratory specialists National laboratory in OIE reference laboratory Teramo, Italy , as well as on the basis of National laboratory modern methods of diagnosis of brucellosis

Key provisions of the Agreement on the program support veterinary legislation
The draft Agreement to be determined:
- Project Coordinator of the RK;
- The strategic objectives and priorities (development and
adoption of the Strategic Programme for the harmonization of
veterinary legislation in line with OIE standards);
- Administrative and operational measures to be adopted by the
Republic of Kazakhstan;
- The working group and its member functions;
- Control and programming work.

The OIE International Standards
Currently, Kazakhstan started to reorganize their
national veterinary services, upgrading its
system of standards, focusing on standards and
recommendations The OIE
Under the strategy are developed comprehensive
plans for the control, prevention, elimination of
highly dangerous animal diseases (FMD, brucellosis)
Used veterinary diagnostic and public immunization drugs that meet
international standards, including GMP / GLP with the phased
development of the domestic bioindustry which will bring together
leading manufacturers of the world
Development Strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Veterinary Service, approved and coordinated with the OIE
Within the framework of cooperation to ensure the well-being of the epizootic on the territory of Central Asia in late
2013 opened the OIE SUB-REGIONAL Coordination Office FMD in Astana
• strengthen the control of FMD;
•develop a common approach and strategy for FMD at the regional level;
•promote regional cooperation on all veterinary services FMD under the auspices of The OIE
• improving the efficiency of the national veterinary services of the Central Asian countries, responsible for the control of FMD in accordance with the recommendations of The OIE

Astanathe and World Organization for Animal Health
• invites you to participate in The OIE Regional
Seminar “5th meeting on the Road map of FMD in
Western Eurasia" in Astana from 23 to 24 April.
