Private shopping event at Monica Potter Home
Wednesday, May 10 Meet at Township Hall at 5:00 pm Monica Potter Home is located in Garrettsville $15 (includes transportation, wine, snacks at the store) Join us for a private shopping event at new Chamber member, Monica Potter Home in Garrettsville, Ohio. Monica Potter Home carries high quality, hand crafted goods which promote comfort and inspire creativity. There will be some light snacks and coffee at the store. Great networking to and from the store and wine will be available on the van ride to Garrettsville.
There will be 2 vans, but only 26 spots, so don't delay. Registration and payment in ad-vance are necessary.
2nd Annual Arts Hop—May 5 and 6 The Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce is excited to host the second Annual Chagrin Valley Arts Hop on Fri-day, May 5 and Saturday, May 6. This event celebrates the unique arts community we have in the Chagrin Val-ley. Visitors will have the opportunity to visit our won-derful galleries, shops and studios, along with many unique arts organizations in the Chagrin Valley. The Arts Hop is a 2 day event where you can "hop" into all the participating arts location where combined, they will feature over 200 artists. Events will be happen-ing during the day, afternoon and evening. Pick up a passport at any participating location and make sure to get it stamped at 7 or more locations and you will then be qualified to enter a drawing to win fabulous prizes. There will also be a limited supply of shopping bags given away at each location filled with discounts and good-ies. The following arts organizations are participating: All Matters, Inc., Alpaca Fiber Studio & Friends, be.gallery, Chagrin Arts, Chagrin Documentary Film Festival, Chagrin Falls Historical Society, Chagrin Valley Little Theatre, Glass Asylum, Im-agery Fine Arts, Inc., Pinot's Palette, The Artful Yarn, The h'Art of Chagrin, LLC, Valley Art Center, Village Herb Shop and Warren Henry Music. Congrats to The Pattie Group who received 5 Landscape Ohio Awards at the annual Ohio Landscape Association Awards program. Jeff Griff of Lowes Greenhouse and Frank Lanza of Highway Garage were both recently recognized by the Bainbridge Civic Club for demon-strating valuable and sustained com-mitments to the community, self-less service, dependability and passion with a purpose. Picky Pam Lice Removal just opened a location in Willoughby making this their second location. Picky Pam can also be found in Aurora.
Lunch with the Chamber Friday, May 19 Tanglewood Golf Club, 8745 Tanglewood Trail 11:30-1:00 pm Bob DiBiasio, Senior VP, Public Affairs of The Cleveland Indians $16.00 members; $26.00 non-members Have a delicious lunch in a beautiful setting at Tanglewood Golf Club and hear the latest news about the 2016 AL Champions, our Cleveland Indians, from Bob DiBiasio. Bob DiBiasio is entering his 38th season with the Indians and his 39th in Major League Baseball in 2017. He started in 1979 as Assistant PR Director, was named Director of PR in 1980, and named Vice President of PR in 1988. The Lakewood, OH native was promoted to his current position in 2011. His lone season away from the Tribe was 1987 when he served as PR Director for the Atlanta Braves.
He serves as President of Cleveland Indians Charities, is an Honorary Member of the Executive Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland and the Board of the Cleveland Baseball Federa-tion. He also serves on the Athletic Advisory Board of Notre Dame College (OH), and the Board of Directors of the Bob Feller Act of Valor Foundation.
