Conservationist, Hollis Farris manager of Wildcat Mountain Ranch all delivered parts of the program on Friday to the audience. The day started with a necropsy of a Bobwhite quail where the audience started learning about the quail from the inside out, the next item that was discussed habitat evalua- tion for quail that was fol- lowed by Dr. Rollins giving a talk on the latest research updates and different man- agement practices that have proved successful in increas- Quail Appreciation Day Report On Friday the 14 of September Coke County A & M AgriLife in cooperation with Wildcat Mountain Ranch hosted a Quail Appreciation Day. There was 30 plus people in attendance from all areas of west central Texas. Immaculate Conception Church Fall Festival Slated The Immaculate Conception Church in Knickerbocker, Texas will hold it’s annual fall festival Sunday, September 30, 2012. A mesquite-cooked brisket and sausage plate with all the trimmings will be served for a small fee from 11 am to 2 pm. The Old Hat Band will be performing live music. There will be a raffle, bingo, games, live auction, and more begin- ning at 1 pm. No dogs, cats, or other animals will be allowed except for service animals. Quail Appreciation Day!
