Why I Chose My Topic :

I chose to resaerch Aretha Frankln, becuase she is just such an inspiring person to touch people's soul with her songs and to put a great inpack on everyone. I admire Ms.Franklin these reasons. She became a singer at a really young age and got first recording as a gospel artist, age 14. She was honor as artists in Grammy history the last 50 year. March 25, 1942, in Memphis, Tennessee*She was gifted as a singer and a pianist

*Her mother is Barbara Siggers Franklin, a gospel singer and her father is C.L. Franklin,a bapist

The Turning Point

Before Aretha got famous she travel with her father preforming and revival show while tour with gospel singer Mahalia Jackson, Sam Cooke, and Clara Ward She got her early track at her church, at the age 14. At the age 15 she became a mother to 2 kids but that didnt bring her career down in fact 2 year later, she return to performing and travel to New York in 1960. Her song "Respect" empowered cover Otis Reddin track that it reaches to number 1 for both R&B and pop chart which got her two grammy awards.

When Everything Goes DownAs Ms.Franklin work tirelessly her voice started tofade in favor of disco craze. In 1979 her relationship ended and her father was hospitalized from a coma becuase of a burglary and not just that she have to pay massive bills for the IRS.Her life went down, she divorse with Turman as well her father death.

*1994 Aretha Franklin was honored with Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award

exmaple the 53rd Annual Grammy Award Ceremony 5 divas have join together to tributes the

Queen of Soul Christina Aguilera,Jennifer Hudson,Florence Welch,Martin McBride, and

Yolanda Adams. They all sing Aretha's pop song back in the day.

What Can We Learn From Aretha's Story

Aretha Franklin reveals that everyone is not perfect, we all have our ups and down and that every women device to have respect. She proves that no matter what age you are or what your doing in life and if you love to sing be your self and let it out so the world know what your capable of. Teens today can think that singing is hard becuase there shy or have stage fright.However Aretha was once a teenager who got her first record at the age 14 just pop singer Lorde she got famous at the age 16 with"Royal" and Jordin Sparks as the first youngest winner to win American Idol. Thanks to Aretha she made not just her but eevry woman a natural woman.
