All program and/or project data can be downloaded for additional analysis and management with local software (e.g., Excel)

After clicking “Data Download” from the main menu Select what type of data you want to download

“Child Details” downloads demographic information about all children in your

program/project

“ECI” downloads all active ECI observations for your

program/project. If you have observations for other measures, they will also be

available.

1. View Individual Child Report for child you’re about to assess Is child on target, below, or slightly below benchmark? Is there an intervention in place? Is slope increasing/decreasing?

ECI Online Scoring Certification– Program Coordinator

Program Coordinator sets up a “Trainee” account on the website for each trainee (you’ll need trainees’ email addresses):

1. Login to the website

2. Click “Program Users” on left menu

3. Click “Add New User”

4. Enter user information, select “Trainee” for user type

ECI Online Scoring Certification -- Trainee

Print an ECI scoring form: www.igdi.ku.edu/training/ECI_training/eci_data_sheet-2005.pdf

Score a certification video (preferably the infant with the House) www.igdi.ku.edu/training/ECI_training/ECI_videos/index.htm

Login to the website using login information emailed to you Click “Enter Certification Scores” Select video that you scored Enter and submit your scores

Review the results If you get less than 85% overall agreement, review the scoring

definitions for those key skill elements for which you scored particularly low

Repeat these steps for each video until you get at least 85% overall agreement for each video

After 3 tries, review the definitions with your coordinator, another certified person on your staff, or us (Dale or Jay)

Administration Certification –Trainee

Review and learn the Administration Guide available on the website

Videotape one administration of the ECI with an infant or toddler (6 – 36 months of age) in your program

Check your steps with the Administration Checklist available on the website

Submit video to be reviewed by a certified person at your site or send one to Juniper Gardens
