Tuberculosis (TB) is more prevalent among men (72%) than women (28%). There are similar quantity of TB cases among children under age of 14. Beginning at the age of 15, the share of men with TBC drastically grows. Men seek medical treatment at the later stage of TBC than women, and interrupt the treatment, which increases the treatment duration and costs. Gender Budgeting in Ukraine
project
“Gender Budgeting in Ukraine” Project is carried out for the support purposes of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine in course of implementation of the gender responsive budgeting (GRB) in Ukraine and is financially supported by the Government of Sweden.
The general approach of the Project is based on the best international practices and envisages testing of GRB activities at the level of pilot ministries and oblasts, as well as making the required amendments in budget documents.
Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB) is a tool that aims at integrating gender perspectives in the budgeting process. It should be viewed as an important element of development of budgets of different levels, which provides comprehensive information to specialists making decisions about allocation of budget funds.
