PV system monitoring.
The Powador-proLOG is a data log-ger that provides extensive options for local and remote monitoring on the PC. It records the current, voltages, tempe-ratures, power and yields of every indi-vidual inverter. External sensors can also be connected to it. The stored installati-on data is transmittet every day in a text filed to an Email address of your choice. The data logger also automatically re-ports by Email, fax or SMS if the instal-lationexits the operating states specified by the user. The alarm parameters can be matched exactly to the technical pro-perties of the installation.
The current measured values can be viewed at any time via the PC. The free Powador-monitor software enables the graphic display of the data. You can access the data from anywhere in the world using the password protected Powador-web Internet portal.

The Powador-proLOG with network con-nection (Ethernet 10 / 100 Mbit) has a special DSL functionality – the DSL postbox. The devices are intended for operation with the Powador web via a DSL connection. The Powador web can transmit details to the Powador-proLOG via the DSL connection within the inter-nal network (LAN). This function can, for
example, be used to call up missing data. This allows bidirectional communication between the Powador web and Powa-dor-proLOG, which is something difficult to obtain with DSL alone due to the fire-wall. In addition, the DSL postbox offers hourly updating of measuring data in Powador-web.

The Powador-link RS485 is a radio module consisting of a transmitter and receiver that uses the wireless extension of the RS485 bus at the inverter. Instal-lation monitoring for several inverters that are located at a distance from each
can be configured with this. The data of the first part bus is sent from the Powa-dor-RS485 transmitter to the Powador-RS485 receiver by radio. The data of two part busses are provided with one data logger.
The IO module is designed to increase the number of analogue or digital channels of the Powador-proLOG. Two models of this expansion module are available:
• IO module 1 (4 analog inputs, 4 digital inputs, 1 digital output)
• IO module 2 (8 digital inputs, 1 digital output)

MTK3 is an optical metering sensor for scanning energy meters. It has been design- ed for connection to Powador-proLOG, thus making it possible to use the calibra-ted metering value of the Electricity Board within the internal Powador-proLOG mea-suring functions. Sensitivity adjustments on the disk meter will not be necessary because MTK3 adapts automatically to the respective meter type.

Highlights
• Optical scanning of energy meters
• Automatically adjusts to the meter type
• For disk meters or pulsed LED
The insolation sensor is used for the professional monitoring of a photovoltaic system. Based on the measured insolation, the anticipated yield of a photovoltaic system can be calculated and subsequently compared with the actual yield.
The short-circuit current of a silicon solar cell is proportional to the extent of inso-lation. Our insolation sensors use a monocrystalline solar cell, which is oper-ated via a low-impedance resistance,
thus creating a virtual short circuit. The positive temperature coefficient of the short-circuit current leads to a minor measurement error. Therefore, the silicon sensors incorporate active temperature compensation, which reduces these errors by a factor of 20. For this purpose, a special temperature sensor is laminated onto the rear side of the solar cell.
All sensors are calibrated against sunlight using a pyranometer (Kipp & Zonen, type CM11).

Accessories. Module temperature sensor / Temperature converter.
The external temperature sensor (type AGS54 ext. TRV1) measures the ambient temperature. It specifies the internal heat dissipation of the modules when com-pared with a module temperature sensor that is also available.
Accessories. External temperature sensor.
This sensor measures the temperature of photovoltaic modules. To do this, the self-adhesive temperature sensor is attached to the rear of a module. A PT 100 thin film temperature sensor that is supplied with a 2 m long connection ca-ble (wire: 7 × 0.2) is located in the silicon rubber plaster.
The signal for the Powador-proLOG is produced by the temperature converter PXT 10. The line resistances between the temperature sensor and converter are compensated. We also recommend a 230 V AC supply for the Powador- proLOG to relieve the internal power supply of the data logger.

Evaluation options.Powador-web.
Powador-monitor is an item of PC soft-ware for local evaluation of the meas-ured values that are recorded by the Powador-proLOG data logger. The data is transmitted to the computer by mo-dem or Ethernet. The data can be im-ported using a Compact Flash Card. You can choose different display types. Archiving is also possible allowing you to have visual control of the inverter values over long periods of time.
Powador-web is an Internet portal that allows for a comprehensive evaluation and visualisation of photovoltaic installa-tions together with the Powador-proLOG. Access is possible from anywhere in the world via the Internet. Access is password protected. The data displayed depends on the configura-tion of the data logger. Options cover the energy production over various time periods and for differentpartial installa-tions including a target/actual compari-
son of the values of individual inverters such as current, voltage, power at the input and output, module temperature and solar irradiation. Furthermore, alarm conditions and the type of messages can be configured and organised. Data tables can be generated over a longer time period using the report function.
Powador-web diagrams can be includ-ed on your own website for a one-off charge.

Overview.Powador-proLOG and Accessories.
Accessories. Large display Powador-view.
The large display Powador-view is univer-sally adaptable to all KACO photovoltaic inverters. It can be directly controlled via the SO interface of the Powador inverter or via the SO interface of the Powador-proLOG. The display processes the elec-tricity meter pulses and produces all the data from the same:
Current output, daily output, total yield,CO2-reduction (optional).
No additional adapter or data logger is needed. If the system does not have a Powador-proLOG, or deploys several in-verters, you can obtain a suitable electric-ity meter from us. In the event that you are already operating an electric power counter with pulse output, or are sched-uled to install the same, we can usually adapt the display.
Individual designThere are two standard designs to choose from, which can be modified with text and logos in a project-oriented way to fit your needs. Photo templates can also be processed. The four-color printed front
(UV system) is protected under perspex and laminated for weatherproofing.
Data securityThe data from your total readings is regu-larly stored in non-volatile media. It is con-sequently safe in the event of a power cut or system reset. The meter recording the daily output automatically resets itself to the zero point over night.
Setting optionsThe total energy data can be initialized to a starting value by pressing a button, whereupon the actual process of adding up the kWh begins.
