In May the SCCE (Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics) released survey results that show that 42% of 485 respondents have had to discipline an employee
for bad behavior on social media. An increase of 24% from 2009. However only about one third of respondents report that their organizations have adopted
policies specifically addressing the use of social media sites. Despite the growth of social media 48% said they rely on passive systems for monitoring social media
policies, or acted only when notified of an issue.”
