Welcome to Thailand

You’ll be met on your arrival at Bangkok Airport, and whisked down the coast of Thailand to Chumphon.Once there you will take a brisk sea crossing across the beautiful gulf and you will feel your worries start to fall away, as the jewel, which is the Island Koh Toa, comes into view.

Although only 21 kms long, you will begin to see its beauty and the reasons why so many consider the island to be one of the most exciting diving destinations in the world.

On arrival you will be met by the resort staff who will take you the 4 kms across the island to our beach side accommodation, where you’ll be given a few hours to relax, refresh, enjoy a bit of brunch and meet and greet the rest of the team.

We will then go over your itinerary for your time on the island.

As the sun starts to set you will have a two hour briefing and presentation from our Dive Instructors regard-ing safety and equipment usage. This will be followed by drinks in the bar and a feast to welcome you to island living.

Day 2- Getting your head wet

Breakfast is served from 7am, and then we will be heading to the classroom to start part one of the two academic sessions of the open water course.

The two morning sessions run from 9am to 11:30, and cover all the safety aspects and technical knowledge that you will need to become an open water diver.

Lunch is served just after 11:30. The practical part of day begins at 1 o’clock, the first of the two ses-sions is to familiarize yourself with the diving equipment at the schools pool.

Our day finishes at 4:30, which gives you plenty of time to do some extra snorkeling, take one of the kayaks to explore the coastline, or just take the time off to relax.

We take a break for lunch, and then we meet back at dive HQ to gear up and get ready for our two dives in open water, amongst the corals of Koh toa.

The emphasis at this stage is safe diving to a depth of 12m.

Our day ends back at Dive HQ, where we will complete the written exam, essential for our deerper dives on day 4.
