School Athletics Yesterday, in the wintery sunshine, students competed in our annual School Athletics carnival at the Flora Hill track. It was fantastic to see all of the House colours worn by the students and the large number of parents and family members who braved the wind chill factor to watch their children compete. The comradery of the students and the encouragement from parents was fantastic to witness. Winning House will be announced at Friday’s assembly. A big thank you to Ross Turner for his great organisation of the event and the BSE & La Trobe Uni students who were fabulous with leading their events. Statement of Values In today’s newsletter I am including a copy of the Department of Education’s Statement of Values, which as they

suggest, promote healthy, safe and respectful school communities. As Principal, it is my role to ensure the safety,

security, health and wellbeing of all the staff and students at Quarry Hill Primary School. As educators, we

encourage you to communicate any concerns about your child’s education, safety, health and wellbeing, however, I

request that you follow Department and school procedures and engage respectfully and constructively with staff.

Aggressive communication, whilst expressing personal needs and desires, does not take into account the welfare of

others. Let’s work together in a positive way to get a great result.
