In September we will focus on Senior Citizens! We will incorporate aspects of this month’s Community Calendar focus into our classrooms’ lesson plans. After connecting with several senior living communities in the Noblesville and Fishers area, we are asking that you consider donating any of the following items: • Cards, Artwork, Postcards, Letters • Individual prizes for games (perfume, cologne, snacks, candy bars, etc.) • Books / DVDs (old black and whites, musicals, comedies) • Games (board games, chess, outdoor yard games, etc.) • Beads, Craft kits, tie dye kits, playing cards, Lincoln logs We will have a donation box out front in the entryway at each Play School. The children here at The Play School will be creating beautiful works of art and cards which we will deliver to a local area senior living community in an effort to brighten their day. Thank you for your continued support and generosity as we teach our children the gift of giving back!

HOUSEKEEPING ITEMS
VACATION POLICY The Play Schools generously offer our families two weeks of “tuition free vacation time” annually from August to August. You must notify your director of your child(ren)’s absence in advance and it must be a full week at a time (no split weeks). Vacation weeks cannot be used toward your required two week notice if withdrawing from our school. Vacation slips are located in the front entry. The two weeks of annual vacation time started over on Monday, August 1st for all enrolled children. Therefore all children have two weeks to use for the 2016/17 year. Unused weeks from 2015/16 do not roll over.

REFERRAL PROGRAM
There is no bigger compliment then when a family joins The Play School because of your support and kind words about us. For every family that enrolls due to your referral you will receive a $100.00 tuition credit on your account after the new family’s 4th consecutive week with one of our schools. This applies to new families only and must be mentioned at time of enrollment. Thank you again for supporting our school!
ST.JUDE DONATIONS Thank you to everyone who donated to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during the month of August! The Play School matched the monetary donations received and we were able to send a very nice contribution! We are so proud to be surrounded by such giving families and knowing that this large donation will help a child in need is the greatest
gift of all.
STAFF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAY
Thank you for your understanding and positivity towards our bi-annual Staff Professional Development Day on September 2nd. This training is an overall great opportunity for all Play School teachers to explore the latest research in Early Childhood Education and learn how to apply these skills directly to the classroom.
