The Place of Sadvipras in the Sama’ja Cakra
From “Idea and Ideology”
Shrii P.R.Sarkar
Primitive human beings had no society and the whole set-up was individualistic.
Even the concept of a family was absent. Life was brute and non-intellectual.
Primitive Humans
Primitive Humans
Nature was the direct abode Physical strength ruled the day. The strong enjoyed at the cost of the weak.
Primitive Humans
The sense of acquisition had not developed in them.
They worked manually and there was no intellectual exploitation in that age.
Though life was brute, it was not brutal.
Shu’dra Age
Shu’dras are those who live by manual work or service.
That was the Shu’dra Age. The leaders led by their physical strength.
Shu’dra Age
Family developed Leadership passed from generation to
generation in the family The leaders by physical might started a well
knit group. The ks’attriya class was formed
Ks’attrya Age
The age when the power rule – supremacy of arms.
The leaders were Herculean, huge giants who depended on the supremacy of personal valor and might.
They made no use of intellect.
Vipra Age
With the development of intellect and skill as a result of physical and psychic clash, physical strength lost its position.
Dependence on superior intellect increased day by day, and power passed into the hands of intellectuals.
Vipra Age
Intellectuals performed no labour and exploited the energy put by others.
In the effort to maintain power they prevented others from developing their intellect.
They imposed superstitions and rituals, faiths and beliefs, caste system, etc.
Vaeshya Age
The continued exploitation by one section of society resulted in the necessity to collect and transfer goods.
A class of merchants developed. Gradually they started to enjoy a position of
supremacy.
Vaeshya Age
Individualistic sense develops. Capitalism begins. The instinct of acquisition develops
tremendously. There is complete exploitation of the human
race.
Present Situation
If one can reduce the population of the entire world into a village of 100 people, keeping the proportions, there would be 57 Asians, 21 Europeans, 14 Americans (north, central and south) and 8 Africans. 52 would be women and 48 men. 70 non-whites and 30 whites. 70 non Christians and 30 Christians. 89 heterosexual and 11 homosexual.
Present Situation
6 people would have 59% of the wealth and all of them would be from USA. 80 would live in houses which are not good for humans and 70 would be illiterate. 50 would suffer from malnutrition and one would be about to die and one about to be born. One would have a computer, one would have university degree.
Present Situation
If you have waken up today more healthy than sick, you would be more fortunate than 1 million people who will not see the next week. If you have never been in a battle, in a prison, tortured or suffered hunger then you are more fortunate than 500 million people. If you have food in the fridge, clothes in the closet, a roof over your head, a place to sleep, consider yourself richer than 75% of the people in this world.
Present Situation
If you have money in the bank, in the wallet or some change somewhere then consider yourself amongst the 8% with best quality of life in the world. If your parents are alive and still together consider yourself a very rare person.
Age of Capitalism
This is the age when large majority of people are turned into Shu’dras.
Shu’dras – those who live by manual work or labour hard for their livelihood.
Cycle of Civilization
Evolution (Kra’nti) – one age turns into another gradually.
The period of transition from one age to another is called “yuga sam’kra’nti”.
A complete cycle from Shu’dra Age evolving through the other three is called “Parikra’nti”.
Sadvipras
Spiritual revolutionaries who work to achieve progressive changes for human elevation and adhere to the principles of Yama and Niyama.
The duty of Sadvipras
In the Social Cycle before the end of an age the dominant class enjoys the position to exploit others.
The Sadvipras should not allow this exploitation to take place.
Exploitation
When one class turns into exploiters it degenerates due to excess of physical enjoyments and the others cannot elevate themselves because all their energy is taken up in mundane problems.
Sadvipras
Sadvipras will have to strike at the source of power of the exploiting class.
In case of Ks’attriya, they may have to resort to physical force.
In case of Vipras, they will have to revolutionize the intellectual field.
Sadvipras
In case of Vaeshyas they may have to contest and win elections, because they rule by democracy.
The democratic set up enables them to accumulate undue gains.
The Cosmic Brotherhood
Spirituality
The Cosmic Ideal alone can be the unifying force which shall strengthen humanity to smash the bondages and abolish all narrow domestic walls of fissiparous tendencies.
Establishing Spirituality
The following will be needed:– Common philosophy of life– Same constitutional structure– Common penal code– Availability of the minimum essentialities of
life
Common Philosophy of Life
Spirituality Human development in physical, mental
and spiritual sphere. Cosmic Idealism
Same Constitutional Structure
World Government Common constitutional structure to the
whole world. One lingua franca.
Common Penal Code
A common penal code must be evolved. Lessen the difference amongst cardinal,
moral and human laws. Actions which help in the growth of the
spiritual, mental and physical aspects of human beings should be considered virtue.
Actions which go against humanity in its spiritual mental and physical development will come under “Vice”.
Minimum Essentialities of Life
Minimum requirements by creating enough purchasing capacity.
Maximum amenities in order to fully utilize skill and intelligence.
It is a never ending adjustment. There is unlimited scope and liberty only in
mental and spiritual spheres.
5 Principles of Prout
1. No individual should be allowed to accumulate any physical wealth without clear permission or approval of the collective body.
2. There should be maximum utilization and rational distribution of all mundane, supramundane and spiritual potentialities of the universe.
3. There should be maximum utilization of physical, metaphysical and spiritual potentialities of unit and collective bodies of human society.
4. There should be proper adjustment amongst these physical, mataphysical, mundane, supramundane and spiritual utilizations.
5. The method of utilization should vary in accordance with changes in time, space and person, and the utilization should be of progressive nature.
