MESSAGE FROM THE LTG

Message from the LTG

Aloha Phoenixes! My name is Stanley Yip, and there are quite literally no words that can describe how ecstatic I am to serve as your 16-17 Lieutenant Governor! Just to introduce myself, I attend Advanced Technologies Academy, where I am (thankfully) ham-mering through my last month as a junior!

The year has just swung into gear and we Phoenixes are already looking to kick start the year running! First of all, thank you to everyone who attended Officer Training Conference on May 7th, and if you get a chance, thank West CTA and our Region 5 team of advisors for helping us plan a

smooth and efficient training! Although the school year may be coming to a close, our Key Club year is just starting off, and I hope despite the urge to sleep in all summer long, we all make sure to keep on burning up the skies, because ser-vice never dies!

That’s it from me this month, Phoenixes! Thank you to everyone that attended the May DCM, and I hope to see you at the next one!

With a Burning Passion,

LETTER FROM THE DNE

Letter from the DNE

Aloha Phoenixes!I am Vincent Tan from Advanced Technologies Academy and I will be happily serving as your Division 28 North News Editor for the 2016-2017 term. I am ecstatic to work alongside all of you hard working phoenixes! A little about myself: I am usually a person who is always in a good mood and will never hesitate to help anyone, so if anyone ever has any questions or concerns, you can always find my contact information in the back of Newsletters that I will release monthly.

Here is also a little about my Key Club self: I have been a Key Club member ever since freshman and have been a dedicated member throughout. I love serving my club throughout the past 3 years, but this year I am fortunate enough to be able to serve all of your phoenixes out there from D28N! Throughout this term, I have 3 main goals: bonding of our division through better communications and whatnot, create and put together outstand-ing newsletters for you guys to all look through, and most importantly, help out anyone strug-gling or in need of help. I don’t count enjoying your time in Key Club because I know all of you do!

Once again, I am ecstatic to serve as your D28N News Editor and I am thrilled for this upcoming term with our LTG, Stanley Yip, DLT, and you, all the great members who make up Division 28 North!

With a Burning Passion,

DCON

“Attending DCON as a dedicated member, has been an everlasting experience for me. Where this ser-vice community is very different on how much spirit and energy was present on the convention floor. (Just seeing one division) Getting the chance to meet so many key clubbers is at itself, an experience. I wanted to take part of becoming A-tech's delegate, alongside Chris-tian Robles, to vote for our new division board. In just being a member, I believe I still help the community, just by attending and voting for our division board. Every workshop I've attended (especially

How To Make Your Own Workshop) was memorable, teaching us to build our own character as a key clubber. Key Club helps me to im-prove of wanting to becoming a key leader. For I desire to still attend the upcoming DCONs within the future. I recommend every key clubber who are just as dedicated as me, to go and attending this well and satisfying experience.”

DLT (Executive Assistant)

Executive Assistant

Aloha Phoenixes! My name is Evelyn Hernandez and I am so excited to serve as your ExecutiveAssistant for the 2016-2017 term! I am currently enrolled at Arbor View High School and this will be my second year in Key Club.

I am so thrilled to be able to work with all of you and have an amazing year! In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching anime, and hanging out friends. I also always listen to music whether it be alternative, hip hop, indie, but it’s mostly K- pop. And of course, I love sleeping, anywhere and anytime. Speaking of things I love, I have

to tell you that I really love Key Club. I’ve only experienced it for one year, but I fell in love when I realized that it hadhundreds of people who love to help their community and have fun doing it.

It really warms my heart to know that I will be able to be more integrated in Key Club, and help make our Division the best! I am so eager to start working with everyone and I hope that I can be an excellent Executive Assistant for you all!

With a Burning Passion,

DLT (Administrative Assistant)

Administrative Assistant

Aloha Phoenixes! My name is Sophia Nguyen and I'mabsolutely thrilled to be able to serve as your 2016-2017 Administrative Assistant for Division 28 North! I’m currently asophomore at Advanced Technologies Academy, and I’ve been in Key Club since my freshman year. While I mainly spend my time making lame jokes and shoving a horde of food into my mouth, you can also catch me serving with my club (and maybe belting out a song from a Disney Channel movie).

I’m extremely ecstatic to be able to serve as your Administrative Assistant for thisupcoming year, and I will work as hard as I can to be able to make this division as strong as it can be! I will be working with my task coordinators and fellow DLT members to try to ensure a wonderful year, and I hope to see many of you apply to join the team as Task Coordinators!

It’s going to be a very exciting year and I can't wait to spend it flying into service with you!

DLT (Secretary)

Secretary

Aloha Phoenixes! My name is Summer Origenes, your new 2016-2017 term Secretary! I am enrolled at Arbor View High School and have just recently joined thismarvelous, vast Key Club community. As a new member of Key Club, I am truly so honored to already be serving this Division as its Secretary - I promise to make this upcoming year as wonder-ful and fun as I know it can be!

Alright, so now I’m supposed to be describing myself: I absolutely adore reading (you’ve got to love the smell of books, new and old alike),writing is a deep-seated passion of mine, I am ridiculously organized, and the T.V. showSupernatural is quite possibly taking over my life. But not as much as Key Club is! This whole thing is so cringe-worthy and boring, but I promise (or I

hope, to be honest) that I’m way more interesting in person. So if you see me walking around, don’t hesitate to say ‘Hello’! Continuing on with my love for Key Club, I have made so many strong friendships within this large circle of kind, amazing people and have realized that this club has broadened my horizons. Key Club has pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone by encouraging me to do community service and to meet and connect with new people.

Deciding to apply for this position was a spur-of-the-moment type of thing but I’m absolutely ecstatic that I went for it! Although this will be a challenging learning process, I promise to take this obstacle head-on and make this 2016-2017 term the best it can be!

DLT (News Editor)

News Editor

Aloha Phoenixes!I am Vincent Tan and I will be serving as yourDivision News Editor for the upcoming 2016-2017 term!

Before I get into any serious business, I would like to tell you guys a little about myself. I am currently a junior, a senior when the next school year starts, and I attend A-TECH. I am quite a goofball, but if I really want to get something done, or need to, I will put my mind to it and get things done. I specifically chose this job because I love being able to work with pictures and video so I thought, "hey, this wouldn't be too bad." but my first newsletter is due this Friday haha. Photography is my passion and I'm aspiring to go as far as I can! Anyway, let's get to something a little more serious!

I am exhilarated to have this honor of serving as your News Editor for this upcoming term. For the start of my term, I have 3 goals: to keep our division updated on what everyone is doing, be-friending, not only the club news editors and historians, but everyone I possibly can in the division, and work alongside with our LTG, Stanley Yip, to accomplish great things in our division to become a power division.

As our LTG once said, a quote from The Fault In Our Stars, "slowly and then all at once." Just like that quote, from a general member serving to a committed division leader ready to serve you all and the community!

With a Burning Passion,
