  • THE PHAROS LED BOLLARD

  • The Pharos LED Bollard

Developments in LED technology enable far more flexibility and creativity for lighting within street furniture than was previously possible. The Pharos LED bollard product allows designers to integrate lighting that enhances the surroundings and promotes a safe atmosphere across parks and campus environments. The lower level lighting offered by the Pharos LED bollard works as an enhancement to traditional street lighting.

Ideally suited for lighting paths, pedestrian walkways and parks, integrated LED lighting in bollards can work as an architectural feature, enhancing available space as well as lighting the way.

The Pharos range of LED bollards offers ‘fit and forget’ reliability that can last several decades. The luminaires are IP66 LEDSAFE, with a sealed optic and an integral internal driver, delivering reliability and protection against the elements for the whole lifetime of the product. Designed to be extremely robust and vandal resistant, the Pharos boasts IK10 impact resistance, meaning that both the luminaires and the bollards themselves will resist minor bumps to major impacts. For high risk areas, the Pharos can be further enhanced with embellishments affording additional vandal resistance.

A further benefit of the Pharos is the ease of customisation. Whilst the original product looks great and works extremely well, embellishments such as a brushed stainless steel finish with bespoke laser cut logos can be easily added. 8 LEDs totalling 11 watts are encased in each bollard offering extremely clear and clean white lighting around the whole bollard.

As the Pharos range comes from Urbis Schréder, the global leader in LED lighting solutions, with a track record built over more than 35 years, you can be assured that your lighting solution will combine great design and high levels of reliability for many years to come.

Urbis Schréder – lighting the future.

  • Key Features and Product Advantages

    • IP66 LEDSAFE® sealed head (optic) assembly with integral LED driver

    • IK10 impact resistance and real-world vandal resistant design

    • UV stable polycarbonate protector with option for diffused or transparent finish

    • Can give both a decorative and functional aesthetic with just a few changes in material, finish and embellishments

    • Embellishments can be either:

    > Decorative, e.g. brushed stainless steel with bespoke laser-cut logo or design etc

    > Functional e.g. additional vandal resistance, or as a

    light mask/shield

    • 8 LED 11W optic with symmetric and asymmetric variants

    • Asymmetric variant with Lensoflex®2 optics designed to maximise performance and spacing whilst minimising glare

    > Photometry designed to achieve S and P lighting classes from (BS EN 13201-2:2003)

    > Example: When positioned at the edge of a 2m wide footpath, a 12.5m spacing is achievable when lighting to class S3/P3

    > A larger spacing can be achieved with various set-back distances from the path edge

    • Symmetric version with diffused protector designed for way-marking and lighting parks and gardens. This configuration will also give good vertical illuminance on pedestrian walkways and cycle paths

    • Wide ambient operating temperature range -40°C to +55°C @ 350mA

  • LED BOLLARD - OPTIC MOUNTING SYSTEM

Sealed optic assembly is integrated into the bollard base from above and tightened through the door, leaving no external visible fixings.

The head mounting system allows full 360° of adjustability, so the orientation and therefore light distribution can be finely tuned on site.

    OPTIC ASSEMBLY

The bollard optic assembly is constructed of cast aluminium, and has been designed to give as short a thermal path as possible from the LEDs to the surrounding air. This ensures the LEDs are kept as cool as possible, optimising their performance ensuring long life and high LED lumen maintenance.

    FUTUREPROOF

The optic assembly is serviceable, but can also be easily replaced by unbolting it through the bollard door. This means the bollard optic can be upgraded in the future without disturbing the groundworks.

    LEDSAFE®

To maximize the reliability of the LEDs, the optic is sealed to IP66. This ensures that the photometric performance is maintained over time.
