world including global media

The global village is made up of a variety of cultural societies who interactwith one other differently and whose behaviours have a globalizationimpact

The self therefore is an important aspect to the concepts of globalisation

In todays global village and digital age, Twitter touches every aspect ofour personal lives and is one of contemporary developments in the globalmedia

Twitter has shifted how we construct our identities and relate to the globalworld

I TWEET, THEREFORE IAM

Twitter user was asked on why she tweets I dont know, you do it to impressother people really. Like, if theres someone thats following you that youreinterested in, then you kind of want to say things that you think that person woulenjoy or, like, just to inform them. It kind of clues them in to who you are

Twitter has therefore provided a fast, exciting, innovative and cheap way ofexpressing ones self

It provides a world of endless possibilities with just the use of 140- characters

Used as a form of release from our emotional build up.

Makes its users feel needed e.g. Having a lot followers retweeting your tweets

social outcasts to gain confidence as they gain friends.

Globalization is about the integration of different cultures andnations into one global village

The mediasocial media have played a huge part in providingplatforms where different cultures come together
